Review of the Post Office, Savings:

Ok I got locked out of my online account - no proble...

Ok I got locked out of my online account - no problem - easy enough to do at 03.00 in the morning, no problem wait until 09.00 and call them and they can unlock it again like every other bank? Think again. You have to wait for a LETTER TO BE POSTED (!) which can take up to 5 working days. They didn't care how urgent it was and refused to let me speak to a manager. When I asked for a complaints email address they gave me a PO Box in Armagh to write to. Joke. I now have to wait until I get a new number, log in and I will transfer the balance to my new account elsewhere. They have a very basic website and no App - so no facial recognition log-in. So just posting your details all over the place. Very risky and insecure. AVOID this Bank of Ireland Post Office set-up, they are well behind the times and I think very insecure, just downright inviting fraud. As a last ditch I asked them to just send the funds back from whence they came (a proper bank) and surprise surprise I was advised to write another letter - listing all the details someone would need to take anything therein. efficient service for both deposits and withdrawals at my local PO

great friendly helpful staff. easy to manage account with a calculator. aids for the disabled community a the cashiers till. very straight forward and pays interest annually. Reviewed on: 6th November 2015
