I am happy to save money with a credit union in order to enable people less fortunate than myself to access vital loans. I totally support the ethos and purpose of credit union banks and wish they were more widely publicised and available Reviewed on: 26th June 2026

Excellent service

I originally started an account because I was working as a mental health community nurse and I recommended credit unions to my patients, I then thought that i had better put my money where my mouth is and use them myself. I opened an account and watched them grow and grow. They have always been very attentive and met my every need, I have also had feedback from my clients who said they were very understanding staff to people with difficulties. i heartily recommend them. I have been saving with Acorn for several years. They have always offered the best rates that the markets will allow. Easy to save, withdraw and apply for a loan.

Have been saving and have applied for loans coming up to 20 years. Always been very easy and manageable to pay back a loan. As I am always saving, the loan is paid of very quickly. Much better than a bank. And always recommend to friends. The customer service is always excellent. Reviewed on: 26th June 2026
