Good way to get a loan

Having a loan against my child benefit is really easy and grate way for me to manage my money without worrying about remembering to pay the bill each week the money taken straight from my child benefit and rest given back to me over all I would have struggled to save a lump sum to pay for holiday ect this gave me the deposit so I could Reviewed on: 22nd March 2026

I do NOT recommend!!!

My company’s Credit Union was merged with Acorn Community Bank, and we were assured that everything would remain as smooth and straightforward as before. What a surprise I had when I applied for a small loan! They carried out a hard credit check and bombarded me with what felt like hundreds of intrusive questions—as if I were applying for something far more serious than £300. The whole experience made me feel like a criminal rather than a customer. I’ll be avoiding this bank as much as possible from now on, and I certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone. This is my 1st time ever getting a loan, passed my driving test & needed to buy my 1st car! So I applied & instantly got a response, the whole process was very easy & straight forward, whenever I phoned the staff were lovely, I had my loan within a week. I was so scared to apply thinking I would be judged but that was far from the truth I’m a new mum and I need a loan and I was greatful for Acorn community banking I really am that helped me in a time in need the forms was easy and fast even when I got confused I rang up the was so kind and understanding and taking there time to explain and to reassure me on everything I’m so glad I did. Soon the loan money went In which was like they said in the exact time frame and the same day soon.
