My company’s Credit Union was merged with Acorn Community Bank, and we were assured that everything would remain as smooth and straightforward as before. What... My company’s Credit Union was merged with Acorn Community Bank, and we were assured that everything would remain as smooth and straightforward as before. What a surprise I had when I applied for a small loan! They carried out a hard credit check and bombarded me with what felt like hundreds of intrusive questions—as if I were applying for something far more serious than £300. The whole experience made me feel like a criminal rather than a customer. I’ll be avoiding this bank as much as possible from now on, and I certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone.
