Good overall but telephone lines can be very busy

We have used RBS as our business bank for a while now (over 6 years). Service is often as I expect it to be, but the call queue times can be too long. This morning I've been on hold for over 20 min which is 20 min I can't get back or get on with my day. Reviewed on: 11th June 2015

Awful customer service

Had a very bad experience involving my business account with staff in branch and over the phone not able to give me meaningful and helpful advice as a result the whole process was complicated and could of been easier if staff members had taken me through the process on my first point of contact. Owned by the people but run by literally a load of ?ANKERS

What a joke Very keen to lend to anyone on anything especially buy to let property in the good old days BUT when the gouging gets tough,they run a mile,and as for support,what a joke,I have been banking with this lot for over 14 years 9 of which I have never seen or heard from my so called business manager Get rid of the lot,bring on the crowd funding and peer to peer guys And let's hope the really good old banking days are well and trolley over for this lot Reviewed on: 31st August 2017

Great customer service

A bank not to bank on

Simple to open a business bank account

I have opened two business accounts with RBS this year and they have both gone very smoothly. My Business Account manager even came and met me at my work to ensure all the paperwork was completed. I have been with RNS for over 20yrs and have to say I have never had any major issues, the little one's I have had they have addressed super quick - the test of a good company is when something goes wrong and how they handle it. Only just opened

I have only just opened my account. The customer service is good but it has been quite complex to access online banking. I definitely think that the process of opening an account can be improved. Reviewed on: 12th February 2016

Horrific

Our experience with RBS has been horrific. From a long account opening period (over 5 weeks from kicking-off the enquiry) to a sheer lack of interest in our business ever since. Reviewed on: 12th February 2016

Failed to help a thriving business with cashflow issues

They should better understand our needs. Our business has grown year-on-year but we found ourselves with short-term cashflow issues which they did little to help us out with. Reviewed on: 5th February 2016
