Simple and helpful

Being with Starling Bank is so easy; all app based and simple to use. Love the idea of separate pots eg for holiday savings, which is hidden from sight yet counts towards the whole account for interest purposes. Love it Reviewed on: 23rd January 2023

POSITIVES- Great user friendly interface, a quick access to view your card details - one click (Halifax takes a few steps), unlimited pots to store money in (not save - no interest), no problems with the app being out of service (which happened at least 30 times in a 12 month period when I had Chase), customer service via messaging which is quick at replying. You can have different spending pots to pay straight out of for payments. NEGATIVES- low interest rate in the savings pot which is available, problem opening a kite account as my they didn’t accept the official form of name change (no problem with Halifax, Doctors surgery, School, council etc) Reviewed on: 22nd November 2024

Lack of support from the Post Officce.

Since I started using Starling Bank. any problems I have had have been overcome extremely quickly, One problem that always niggles is that if the cash machine is out of order the Post Office won't help you but they will help anyone from any other bank. Reviewed on: 12th October 2024
Reply from Starling Bank Glad you've had a good experience overall. Sorry the Post Office hasn't been the same. You should be able to take out a maximum of £300 at the Post. However, not all Post Offices will be able to do this all the time due to the amount of cash held. Response date: 22nd October 2024

Nothing is too much trtouble for their customer services team. You just go to Help in the app and then choose gow you want to contact them. I have never had a problem they couldnn't solve in course of a conversation. Reviewed on: 24th September 2024

The app is so easy to use, and so intuitive. We have it as a joint account for our household expenses and find it very helpful that the app notifies us when we have scheduled payments due to come out the next day, and whether there is enough money to cover them. Reviewed on: 4th September 2024

From the day one I have never looked back. This bank provides an excellent service for all my needs. The app is very easy to use and it has fantastic features. My favourite feature is Spaces where I can create as many little money saving 'pockets' as I need. The next thing that I love is how my spending is displayed, I can see how I spend my money and allow me to make informed decisions. Also, I can communicate with the team through the app and get any help if I need it. I can ramble all day about the greatness of the Starling bank because I have never ever been disappointed. This bank makes me feel like it watches over my money when I'm not good at. It let's you put money aside I haven't seen yet a saving where higher rate and high rate & time before money able back is next one way you might help customers connect to credit agencies show it how bad or good you done that month. Happy, great for holidays abroad.

Happy, We only use Starling to spend when we travel abroad as no fees. Unfortunately when I tried to change to a joint account with my wife I was informed that we couldn't, with no explanation. So our daily current account remains and Starling account remains purely for our 2 or 3 trips every year. Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Just clean simple Banking

Love Starling, no messing about just clean simple banking that has never let me down. Customer service always available if I ever need them (Which as been once in 5 years), insights are useful but not intrusive like other apps and there is no feature that I do not use to make the service feel bloated.
