A lifeline in the ocean of debt

Several years ago my Mother became ill and needed 24/7 care, I got into a lot of credit card debt due to an idiot at the Job Centre knowing my situation but insisting I still job hunt instead of going on to carers allowance, so I came off job seekers allowance and had to live on credit cards for a few years amassing a large debt, Step Change were a fantastic help interacting with my creditors and working out a payment plan so I could repay my debts, I have had my plan going for a while now, my debts are reducing and Step Change continue maintain my payment plan.
