Worried over debts after marriage breakdown.

I was left with a lot of debt after I left my abusive husband. With two teenagers to support, I was left seriously considering how I would ever cope. I can't remember how I came across Stepchange, but they really have been my guardian angel. When I called they were so understanding, listened to me and explained what the process involved. It was easy to work through my income, expenditure and debts and to set a payment that I was able to afford. I've been with them now for nearly nine years, managing my debts on an ongoing review. My smaller debts are satisfied, with a few bigger ones to go. It's great to know that in another three years all those stressful and worrysome debts will be gone. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2024

A piece of mind.

I think being in debt has to be one of the most daunting situations to find yourself in. It can be very easy to bury your head in the sand. Stepchange have the most welcoming and approachable team and they are brilliant at guiding you through all the steps to help you manage your debt, they also help you to maintain your plan and are quick to adjust when circumstances change.
