Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I’m so happy with my experience. Now I sleep at night.

I was deep in debt with nobody to turn to, A family member told me about stepchange and it’s completely helped me so much it’s a massive weight of my shoulders. I can sleep so much better knowing that I have to pay an amount each month which leaves me with a bit more money than I had when I had all the debt issues. The moment I contacted them I felt like a weight was...

The moment I contacted them I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. The person I spoke to put me at ease and helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. If you have money worries give them a call. They understand you don’t need to be ashamed about your situation. They will help you put a plan in place that’s affordable for you. Talk to your creditors and it also shows your creditors that you want to settle what you owe. Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

Life saving now out of debt

Life Changing

Five years, I didn't think I would be writing this. I was swimming in financial treacle, didn't know what to do. Contact Step Change and from first moment I was treated with compassion and in non judgemental manner.. Step Change changed my life back literally . Where now I have massively different outlook.
