Don't get insurance with Swinton insurance company!!!!!!

Swinton is the worst insurance company . I had a home insurance with accidental damage and my little daughter dropped water on our LED 3d smart TV which I've bought 3 years ago about 500 pound and LED screen was broken because of water and it was just audio on it. I tried to fix it and dried with hair dryer but didn't work. Treated like a criminal

I bought my policy back in march 2019 via compare the market. I have never defaulted on my payments and have received the renewal email each year stating that if you are happy to proceed you need to do nothing and payments will carry on. They also asked if my situation had changed, which it hadn’t from when I started the policy. Absolutely rubbish

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely useless. My 85 yr old mother has the gold home emergency cover. Boiler broke 14 days ago 15 th Dec, 5 days later an engineer turned up, needs parts. 3 days later the parts haven’t arrived. Then next day parts haven’t arrived and it’s 2 days before xmas. 13 days after first phone call, 3 days after Xmas another engineer turns up with some parts but not all and thinks he’s repairing just a leaking boiler. My home and content s came through and the core policy has increased from £211 to £638. Over 300% No claim, no changes to the policy, No claim ever so have max 10 years no claims. Not even going to dignify ripoff Swintons renewal with a response as the only response to that is cancel and never go back Reviewed on: 2nd July 2022

Traumatised by my experience with Swinton.

I feel so terribly sorry for anyone who has taken insurance out with this unprofessional and morally questionable company. If you are vulnerable and have suffered them, you have my deepest sympathy. I have endured the most traumatic year of my life without any support from Swinton - despite having three different home insurance policies sold to me by them. Unfairly refused claim

Swinton Insurance refused a claim for damage to roof, even though an independent builder backed up the claim. I believe the refusal to accept the claim was unfair, poor customer service of course, and I would not want to use that company again. Reviewed on: 12th September 2019

Excellent fast and trustworthy
