Pause & closed my account without any explanation.

They paused my account without any explanation. It has now been closed with no explanation. I have had an email to say give me your account details and we will send you the money in the account less fees within 7 days. I emailed my details along with a copy of a bank statement of the bank account I want them to put the money in. I emailed for an explanation to which they replied I need to log into my account (which they closed that I no longer have access to) to speak to them in chat??????? I replied to ask how I do this when I cant access it anymore and the email reply was "in the chat we have asked for your bank details so please reply to this email with them." I have already sent a copy, what shambles they are??? I have lost business, customers have wanted their money back which I couldn't give them as they paused my account so the customer reported us for fraud and slander us all over social media, (we told the customer they would have their money back in full once this sorry state of affairs had been sorted with tide but this wasn't good enough so they insisted on fraud & slanderous accusations, we have proof they we agreed to a full refund once the account problems had been sorted). I will be reporting this to the police and financial ombudsman. STAY AWAY from this bank. They will take your money and never return it. As someone said before, your business and livelihood will be ruined if you bank with these thieves. Our Christmas and New Year was ruined as I wasn't able to work or make any money. It is criminal, we are trying to do what we can to pay bills but we are now in debt because of this and our business is ruined. Reviewed on: 10th January 2024

I needed to export transactions to CSV for the purpose of my accounts. Seems like a simple task right? Previously I have been able to do this both on the mobile app and website, until recently I reported this via the live chat over a week ago, after a 2 hour response time, I was provided steps to do it but the options they given were not available.. so the agent asked me to send a screenshot, which would be ok but the app doesn't allow it. You would think someone working in support would know this about the app they are supporting? After back and forth they asked me to update the app and restart my phone, after trying this it still did not work, by this point the chat had ended Tried again to open their chat and do it again but I had to start from step one of the agent asking the same questions, eventually running out of time as I don't have a whole day to dedicate to pushing them to fix the issue. The response times are hours apart sometimes My 3rd attempt was unsuccesful as they taken 5 hours to reply eventually at 1:00am in the morning which is quite normal for people to be asleep at that time I'm on my 4th attempt so far, been waiting for half an hour and have to press a button to stop me being logged out every 10 minutes So poor, I would have cancelled my account by now but the transactions are essential to my accounts Reviewed on: 29th May 2025

They have frozen the business account and all the money that the account was holding because of "security reasons", but the problem is that they are blocking the whole account because they have to check one transaction. Today it's a payday for my employees and I need to pay some other companies and I can't because they froze all the account rather that freeze only part of the money that then needs to check. Ithe customer support it does NOT offer any support and they don't care. As a business owner it's crucial for me to pay my employees and keep the business running instead they don't care. Terrible experience and as soon as they unfreeze the account I will move the money out instantly! Terrible terrible experience! I had to pay one employee from my own personal account because they were relying on the salary they were going to get. Lost job contact because Money held for not reason, no customer service help, informed CMS The service has been terrible, my money was held, even when evidence was shown why monies were paid and I was forced to cancel a work contract because of that. Not only was the client payment held from me, but my other balance from previous works. When i requested the money sent back to the client it was not done either and my account was olocked. So I then had to refund the customer from my personal money. I have lost important income, and a good working reputation. I will be using this experience to place reviews online to warn off future customers from having this hassle. Do not recommend. Communication was dismal and no customer services. Although the payment was a deposit for materials, which would then be paid out to verious suppiers, Tide informed child maintenance that i had been paid money and now have to show evidence to that company also that i do not make more money than stated before. This ordeal went on for weeks, I finally had to "cheat the system" by opening up yet another chat with customer service and told them 1 could not view my pin, which unlocked my account and withdrew all money and have now closed the account Reviewed on: 24th April 2025

Good interest rate

Few issues setting up my business account, however it was an error my side which then became apparent. Free banking, £0.20 a transaction, good interest rate, whats not to like? Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025

Account frozen and no ability to unfreeze

It's payday for our employees and we can't access our bank. Tide froze it with no notice 'for safety and security'. Won't release access under any circumstance. Hiding behind usual 'could be a scam!' crap - impossible to make progress with them. 3 days and counting and now the business can't operate and the staff can't make rent.
