Excellent business bank with excellent customer service

After 25 months of free banking I moved my business account from Yorkshire Bank to Tide because their offer of charges for a small self employed business. Yorkshire Bank were not interested in keeping a well run business account but were keen to now charge so the opening process with Tide was efficient and easy. I should have moved years ago !! I am really enjoying simple business banking without the hassle of dealing with "Big Banks" who do not really care about small businesses. Well done The Tide Team !! Reviewed on: 12th January 2019

No way to pay in cheques

Everything on the app and with the debit card is great. The customer service is fast to respond too. The reason for my low star rating is there is no way to pay cheques into the account. This means I will be shortly switching my banking back to my original 'mainstream bank' account. The Tide fees are 20p per transfer in or out of this account which makes it cheaper for me than my original account which is £5.50 per month, but I still need the other account for the cheques. So now I'm paying £5.50 per month AND 20p per transaction which is pointless. Tide suggested I pay the cheques into my personal account but I can't as they are made out to my business name. I know cheque use is declining but about 10% of my wholesale payments come in cheque form still. Reviewed on: 11th January 2019

Fantastic Account - Simple and Fast

Bar a few tiny features that haven't yet appeared, I'd recommend Tide Business banking to anyone. The account was very easy to set up (a far cry from the crawling, tedious application processes with high-street banks) and gave us all the functionality we needed for our small business. The app is fantastic and things work just as they should. Support is good the few times we've had to use it and they're constantly making improvements the platform. Reviewed on: 10th January 2019

It doesn't get easier than this !

I am very impressed with the process of opening a business bank account with Tide and the mobile app created by Tide to run it. I also applied for a business bank account with one of the main banks, which took weeks and even after opening I had to start a new process for online access. This is so old fashioned and laborious process that should not represent the technology available to us right now, due to which even though I have a business account with a major bank I use Tide only. I can only praise Tide for their great work and look forward to them disrupt the business banking world further. Reviewed on: 9th January 2019

Great all round service and company

We switched from a typical high street bank and we are glad we did as they have been incredible from the start with our banking cards etc arriving within 24 hours. One small niggle is that everything is geared to tablet / phone banking which is great but using a laptop means it has to be authorised from a tablet / phone which is a bit inconvient but this is a very small grumble and we are really glad we made the change. We also get to use our local post office which is more convient and better for the local community for our counter service. Reviewed on: 7th January 2019
