Review of the Triodos Bank, Current Account:

There is a hypocritical £3 a month charge (fair fee)

There is a £3 a month fee for the current account unlike most other current accounts. The reason Triodos bank states it does this is so that it is a “fair fee” to make the bank fairer for financially vulnerable customers who may acquire overdraft charges. However if you are a customer with no money in your current account the fee will result in a un-arranged overdraft. This seems counter to Triodos “fair fee” reasoning, this hypocritical fee results in financially vulnerable customers being pushed unknowingly into a overdraft. Reviewed on: 15th August 2024

I love the fact that Triodos is an ethical bank.

Triodos Current Account 6 years no mistakes

Why not do good with your money?

From a users perspective it's an online bank like any other, so why do good with your money? From a personal perspective they do so much more than any other bank. I feel good banking with Triodos. Reviewed on: 29th January 2024

Hard to read Bank card, otherwise ethical company.

I have written on two occasions but the bank card is still very hard to read. Its shiny silver letters on a white background with the skeleton frame work of a leaf- in very light green. I'm 56. I think they should consider this for their elderly customers. Two letters from me have not made any difference. I have been working as a GP since 2007 but before that I used to work in Ophthalmology. I understand, reading, legibility, contrast, and the process that takes place in the visual pathway. I am aware they are not involved in dodgy stuff, like tobacco, blood diamonds, trafficking of young people, illegal activities.
