The Triodos Personal Current Account has a low monthly fee.

You can manage your account via an app and there’s a Bristol-based contact team if you need support. Triodos don’t offer an overdraft facility or immediate faster payments. You’ll get text message alerts to help you manage your money and online statement.

love it - gives me a clean conscience

I have really enjoyed having a current account with Triodos. I love that I can easily find out what they are investing in through their newsletters - it feels good to be with a bank who are proud of what they invest in and are investing for the good of society and the planet. This bank aligns with my values and helps me to feel that in my small way I am making a difference. The only reason I have taken a star off for recommending Triodos is that sometimes transactions won't go through with certain insignificant things e.g. some parking apps (random?), and they don't have physical branches so could perhaps be considered less accessible than other banks, for example for the older population who would prefer not to bank online. Overall, my experience has been great though and I find their online and mobile banking works well and is easy to use. Reviewed on: 17th January 2022

A bank i can actually trust

It is so nice not to have to worry about what my money is being used for like you would with the bigger banks who put profit ahead of everything, their customers included. I sleep better at night! Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025

Good to be small part of something good

I never have a problem doing anything I need to do on the app. It feels good to be part of something good. I sometimes like to get news about the ethical businesses and causes Triodos is involved in. I found Money Movers through their updates, got involved in that and have done a couple of sessions about ethical banking and personal finance at my workplace, always mention I moved to Triodos from my old high street banks. Easy, convenient and ethical banking at its best.

I've been banking with Triodos for a few years now. Their ethical banking platform is very appealing to me as someone who is concerned about the environment.
