Repayments too high

I felt that there were too many offers to increase my credit and too much pressure to do so, which has now put me in the situation where I am in Persistent Debt. Whilst fully aware I played a part in this, there shouldn’t be so much pressure vis continual emails to increase the credit limit, and the payments back are disproportionate amount of my income each month. Good Starter Card, Limited Long-Term Value

I used Vanquis for my first credit card and overall, it served its purpose well. It was a good starting point for building my credit history, and getting accepted helped me establish a solid lending record early on. Customer service was always helpful in my experience, and the app was straightforward to use. However, I found it quite difficult to get credit limit increases, even with consistent use and keeping my utilisation below 25%. Over time, I moved on to other credit cards that offered higher credit limits, cashback, and more flexible features like 0% APR pay-in-three options. Vanquis was a useful first step, but for those with growing credit scores, other cards may offer more competitive benefits. Still, I appreciate how it helped me get started. Vanquis customer very happy

Excellent staff.

Customer service staff provide expertise immediately and have resolved any problems I have had immediately, for example I paid my monthly payment in error twice and they were able to refund the second payment within days, to my relief. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2025
