1
I was on Holiday in Dorset and went out for the day to Swanage from the camp site I was staying at and halfway there 3- lights came on the dashboard, I decided to abort my visit and return to the campsite where I phoned the breakdown company 2Gether, at first they had no details of my breakdown cover after finding them they then refused to come out to my car. I was able to tow the car back behind my Motorhome and on my return my mechanic fixed the problem with a reader in 1/2 hour. I complained to the company but have not had any reply, avoid this company at all costs as they are a waste of time, pay more and get a better service. Reviewed on: 6th August 2024

Breakdown Call Out!!

1
This company should be avoided at all cost!! They may be cheap initially but if you need their "offered" services you will then find ot that they are "cheap and nasty!!" Their so called UK Full cover is a sham! It is firstly recovery to a garage to see if the car can be repaired, you will have to source the garage yourself as they can't recommend one! Next, if you can get a garage to look at your car the same day and attempt repair, highly unlikely, you will be on your way. If not you will have to wait possibly days and only when your car is declared unrepairable will you get recovered to your home or garage local to you. If you don't want to do this you can pay personaly for a recovery, that they of course can arrange bless them, which in my case would've been just under £1100 for 112 miles!! The AA would've done the same recovery at personal cost to me for £500!! After I had finished speaking to their charmless and sarcastic "robot like" operator I spoke to the AA, joined as an emergency member, also joining for the rest of the year which was £239 but from there on worth every penny as I was then in the hands of a professional organisation not a dodgy couldn't care less cowboy outfit like this!! SHAM BREAKDOWN COVER

1
My car number is SD63UNG. I have used this breakdown service to change my car tyre in the past. Yesterday I went out and I had a flat tyre and after I was asked loads of questions, I was given an estimated time scope of 2 hours. The recovery man arrived after 1 hour 35 minutes. He requested for the wheel lock which I handed over to him. As he was trying to loose the wheel nut with the lock, the wheel nut hook detached from wheel nut. He called his agency to see if he could take my car to my mechanic, few miles away and his agency reached out to 2gether and 2gether declined. I called 2gether to explain the situation to 2gether but instead I was told I would pay a fine of £120. Its a breakdown cover!. My contract comprises repair at the spot and if not possible the car should be taken to mechanic. I spent another 3 hours on the spot to arranged for my car to be moved. I thank God that this didn't not happen in the middle of nowhere. 2gether breakdown cover is a sham!!! Reviewed on: 27th July 2024

6 hours waiting on an embankment with a disabled person. With plenty of false promises. We were told that we would be taken to the garage of our choice but in fact we were dropped just a few miles to a motorway services. Simply not trusted. Now we have a bill of £1200 from 2Gether.its a scam to get your money, they prey on vulnerable people Reviewed on: 21st May 2024

Not great customer service.

Not great customer service. When making a claim was told I would get more due to a mistake from one of their advisors. They took a while to get back to me to only tell me it would be less due to the mistake. They were very apologetic and did quickly process the claim afterwards though. Reviewed on: 21st May 2024

Car refused to start on 11/4/24 so called them out.

1
Car refused to start on 11/4/24 so called them out. Took ages to turn up but did get me started. "Mechanic" said it was faulty battery so got new battery today (12/4/24) and guess what? After a short run the car refused to start so once again called them out. They REFUSED despite me telling them I am disabled and my 88yo mother was with me. They told me it was same fault as yesterday and they do not do "repeat" call outs. I told them to send out their mechanic to check if it was the same fault and AGAIN they refused to come out.The agent even told me the personnel who attend call-outs are NOT qualified mechanics. It now looks like my starter motor is at fault so why did the "MECHANIC" not wheck this? Is it because they are NOT QUALIFIED MECHANICS" Their agents words, not mine. So if you want to throw away your hard earned cash with these cowboys, go right ahead. I'm lucky my contract with these incompetents runs out at end of month avoiding exhorbitant cancellation fees. Scam - No policy documents ever received

1
AVOID! They took my money and never sent any policy documents. They are uncontactable by phone and do not answer emails. What’s the betting that if I needed them they would say. I had no policy. Look at the other reviews on here and on Trust Pilot too. Terrible. They make every excuse not to help people and charge MORE money if they actually do come out. I have asked my bank if they can do a Charge Back to return my fee in full. I think if no contract sent the company would by law have to return my money in full. Reviewed on: 27th March 2024

Don't believe the price, its cheap for a reason

1
Don't believe the price, its cheap for a reason, they will find any loophole possible to get out of recovering your car without first lumber you with a £120 charge. My car wouldnt start so I called asking them to recover it, as it was a sunday and no local garages open they advised they couldn't come out unless they could take it to a garage so I had to leave the car. Called again 2 days later having arrange a gagrage to take it to, I mentioned I was hoping it was just a flat battery perhaps due to lights being left on (but not sure for certain) and they said they could no longer come out to recover the car unless I paid £120 up front as it could be my own fault. This service is cheap for a reason, they want to wait until people are in a desperate situation to hike the fees up. Awful service and awful advisors avoid like the plague, pay a bit more for recovery where they will come out regardless of why the car won't start. Reviewed on: 21st February 2024

Avoid this company at all costs!!!

1
Avoid this company at all costs! My car broke down due to an alternator issue, 2Gether arranged for a recovery truck to be sent to me within an hour and a half. However, I received a call an hour later saying that they were refusing to collect the car as the issue 'may be related to a previous claim.' I'm not sure how an alternator has anything to do with the clutch! Abysmal customer service who couldn't car whether you stay with them or go elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Ridiculous

Would give 0 if I could! Guy calls 4 hours after being reported to say he only just got the job sent through. Thankfully now home and warm! I'll let my email explain the rest... ***Good evening, I write this email from the roadside as I am still awaiting a tow vehicle having called in at 12:52 today. I was called at 13:26 and advised a vehicle would be with me by 14:20. At 14:50 I called as no one had attended. I was told a further 45 minutes. At 15:52 I called and was told 10 minutes. At 16:00 I was told 25 minutes. At 16:35 I was told 10-15 minutes. At 16:52 I was told 10 minutes. I was told on this call that she had explicitly spoken to the operative herself and that he would be 10 minutes. I am a woman, on my own by the side of a single carriage way in the dark. I honestly cannot comprehend how it has taken this long when your phone lines state 90 minutes. I have had numerous members of the public who have driven by over 3 hours ago and offered food, water and assistance as they can see I have been waiting for hours. It's beyond embarrassing. I would appreciate a call from the manager to discuss as this is completely and utterly unacceptable.*** Operative called at 17:12 stating he'd be 20 minutes and that he had only just received the job. Don't disbelieve it as he's the only person to have actually called me! Reviewed on: 11th December 2023
