Strongly recommend The Chorley

We have just completed our mortgage with the Chorley. We had excellent service from The Chorley from the moment we approached them until now. Setting up the mortgage was straightforward and given the type of mortgage we had (interest only) we were given great help at the two year intervals when we had to renew the product. What we particularly liked was the friendly and helpful approach on the phone and this was especially true during the pandemic when it must have been very difficult for staff. Best Mortgage Provider

The Chorley Building Society gave us a mortgage when no one else would - because they actually looked at our circumstances, rather than relying solely on machines to say yes or no. We have been with them for 8 years, have never missed a payment and they have been unbelievably helpful throughout the time we've been with them. Recently had to opportunity to reduce our mortgage and they went out of their way to pursue the most cost-effective option for us. Can't recommend them highly enough. Bespoke and exceptional service.

During the last five years, that we have dealt with the Chorley & District building society. The whole experience has been both professional and efficient. Great service

My experience with Chorley has been fantastic. When applying for a debt consolidation mortgage the underwriting process was great. The underwriter looked at the bigger picture and I was able to explain my situation fully. I can honestly say that this mortgage changed my life and I will always be grateful to Chorley for this. Once the mortgage was agreed, the admin team always responded promptly to any questions I had and I was made to feel like a valued customer and not just a number. Reviewed on: 25th September 2023

Mortgage renewal

Having been a Chorley BS customer for many years while doing up my barn conversion I was very impressed by their friendly approach to my requirements. Every stage made me feel I was part of a small family and not a big national organisation. I would highly recommend Chorley BS if you are looking to change your mortgage or apply for a new one. Excellent customer service!

When I phoned I was immediately put through to a member of the mortgage team (Mark) who was highly knowledgeable and clearly explained my options without any pressure, he also answered my questions straight away in an open and honest way. As always Chorley are fantastic to speak to and have straightforward products without any hidden costs. I’m not very confident with the on line things that you have to complete .. but my contact Mark Rothwell was so helpful. Successful application

We already have a mortgage with Chorley, and have ported it with a slight top-up to a new property. Chorley were very helpful, responded to our queries and change of property and mortgage amount without much delay. They are very traditional and the mortage interviews were a bit long (hence only 4 star), but I don't know how much of this is due to the financial regulations and how much is down to Chorley's working practices.
