Review of the Monument, Savings:

It’s ok until things go wrong!

For the last year this bank has been great, however I made a silly mistake today and transferred into the 35day access fund instead of my instant access fund. It was using my Barclays Bank and saved account details. I instantly contacted Monument and informed them of my error, they basically said TOUGH LUCK and are holding my funds for 35 days. Unfortunately for me these were my self assessment tax funds and I won’t be able to access them in time so it’s a costly mistake on my part. I would normally have other funds available but we have some property transactions this month making funds transfer more complicated than usual. I have encouraged friends and family to bank with Monument but I’ll be telling them how wrong I was. I’ll be closing my accounts and my parents this week, I’ll obviously have to wait 35 days to close mine… and that can’t come soon enough. If you make an error DO NOT expect to be treated like a human being by this bank, they have a computer says no mentality. Reviewed on: 3rd July 2024

Good app and savings rate

Looking for good Investment

I was looking to invest my money and came across your rates on Martin Lewis newsletter. It took a while as your site was inundated with customers all wanting the good rates. Even though I missed the deadline due to the withdrawal of the offer Monument honoured my application as I had completed the form in time.I was most grateful. Good interest rate

I am so grateful to have found Monument Bank

I love it - I put a break in my house buying search because of the economy and I wanted to put some of my deposit in a high yielding account. Monument was by far the best. Not only that - the app is so smart and slick! This is what I wish old school banks would be like, since they have the funds to come up with something better.... But alas Monument bank has such a great user experience! Not only that! Unfortunately my phone was stolen at the start of the year and I forgot everything with regards to accessing my Monument account. The client service team got back to me within 15 minutes after my email. Everything was sorted in 2 days - not because of delays, but because I had to provide a lot of materials. Communication was flawless - they let me know when they received what they needed from me, what stage they were at, and if there was any delay I was told when the task would be finished and what delayed it. I love Monument bank because I don't think about it besides recommending it to others and that's what I want from a bank - security, great value, fabulous customer service and to not think and worry about it.
