Excellent staff service still going strong

Suzanne was very helpful and clearly explained to me everything I needed to know and made sure that I understood before committing to anything and I did not feel in anyway pressured. She gave me time to make my decision, which I did and am more than happy. Over 45 years ago we got our first mortgage with DBS I have to say the same standard of excellent service remains to this day!! Reviewed on: 9th July 2026

Polite, knowledgable, friendly staff

I was greeted politely on arriving, was given a drink. The appointment was advised to be 30 minutes but only took 15 minutes. Despite my account maturing at close of play today the young man who dealt with me was able to set up the new account and advised he would be able to complete the process to save me having to revisit tomorrow. The whole process of opening a new account and moving money from another was made very straightforward. Everything was explained in detail and I was given an opportunity to ask any questions, which wasn’t necessary for me. Reviewed on: 9th July 2026

Bishop Auckland branch are amazing.

Appointment started on time and was carried out efficiently and pleasantly. We knew what we wanted to do and this was duly carried out. We were seen in a downstairs room due to my mobility problems but were very surprised that every time the young lady wanted to use a printer she had to leave us and go to the front desk. I know you are soon to move but a printer need not be expensive and could soon be installed. Reviewed on: 4th July 2026

Personal appointment

Came into branch after bereavement of a loved one to close down their account. Faultless service, considerate and straightforward. One of the representatives remembered my family member and gave me her personal condolences. It’s those moments that speak the loudest for personal service in a brand. Reviewed on: 3rd July 2026
