When switching cars, it was really easy to move my policy over to my new vehicle and the customer service assistance was polite and patient on the phone when explaining the process. The policy premium, however, did increase substantially and there was a lack of information on what factors had caused the rise - there could certainly be more transparency in that respect. Very long Wait Times for Claims

Unbelievable wait times to get through to Aviva Claims. Nobody seems to be knowledgeable about queries. Transferred to two different Claims teams before getting the correct team to deal with my issue. It took 3 hours and the situation is still on going. website refused to cover me

terrible car claims handling / poor courtesy car cover

Do not insure with Aviva for car insurance. They are unable to process claims in a timely manner or consistently provide the courtesy car cover you pay extra for. Even their chief executives office is under strain as their "Senior Management Complaints Specialists" haven't updated in weeks. Looking on this site, many are having the same issues as us so they are probably overwhelmed. Aviva issues: - problems organising a car tow to a garage - unsure whether car is repairable - no communication or updates - awaiting pre-accident valuation pay out for 8.5 weeks - hire agreement for courtesy car (we paid extra for) repeatedly terminated and we are left without a car. hire agreements should be automatically linked to the claim, such that if the claim is ongoing the hire agreement continues -repeatedly told claim will be completed within 3 to 5 working days Please look for a better insurer. Con artists and incompetent

Well what is there to say. After a car crash I was told Aviva were the broker for RAC. Had I known this I wouldn't have taken out the policy. If fawlty towers were a Insurance company this would be it. Customer services don't really know what to say beyond a script. If you get angry it's your fault even though they left me stranded without a car which is in my policy. I had become a manager at Aviva clearly cause I had to call them up and tell them to do there job and direct and micromanagement, otherwise I would still be awaiting them to call me back. They don't really care about the customer, you are a **** *** to them and don't forgot it. They love to talk over because you are a **** ** ****. They take what isn't theirs and delivery **** ***! Well I'm sure shareholder's are very happy. Well Mafia never had a conscience. But than again look what happened to them! Avoid, avoid, avoid! Took money under false information

Total crap ! Took my money didnt mention no claims bonus ,then 2 weeks later asked for it . Never had an accident in 40 years ,full no claims sent proof twice but just because the no claims was at bottom of my ins certificate and headed paper at top wouldnt except it then cancelled the insurance Keeping most of MY money !!!! Very poor service

Restricted number of repair centres. Repair centres are very poor. Accident in May, booked car in for end of August which was the earliest available. Took car in and advised 7 days. Now pushed back to early December with them still having car. Aviva will do nothing about car being with their repairers for 3 months. No car hire, no refund of premium and we have no car. Ripping customer off

3 years ago my insurance with aviva was £320 i moved house and they put it up to £650 now the renewal for this year is £909 - i have 9 years no claims and do 4k miles per year - what a joke of a company just want to take your money. Reviewed on: 31st October 2022

Very poor online service

Very poor online service, and they charge £28 cancellation admin fee, for the computer is doing the admin. Total rip-off wouldn't recommend it to my worse enemy. Reviewed on: 31st October 2022
