ok for some

ok so I have a Barclays Premier account which I have been ok with once I took advantage of the mobile and gadget insurance, RAC cover and travel insurance. Unfortunately they keep changing what is covered and how much it costs and it is now becoming expensive for what it is. I had the travel pack extra as I was going on holiday and wanted to make use of their Dragon pass which allows access to a lounge with food and drink available. On arrival at Manchester airport however both of the lounges were full and we weren't allowed in. On our return flight from Crete was a joke as the lounge wasn't even open! I tried to contact Barclays on my return to complain about this and reduce my package to the basic one, the man on the phone was less than helpful, told me I could change it but their system was down and I would have to phone back another time, he didn't even acknowledge the problem I had at the airports. In the New year I will be reviewing this premier account to see if it would be cheaper to have separate insurances separately and then change my account. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

My other half got grilled by barclays when we moved from London to Wales because they thought it was strange someone would do that. He had to have an interview with a manager. Reviewed on: 16th February 2016

Customer Service

As usual great customer service from the premier banking team, I recently lost my debit card - I was able to order a new one through the APP, it came in 3 days and the team called me me to check I'd received it. Reviewed on: 1st December 2015

Poor customer care

I have just changed mobile phones. The banking app would not allow me to re-register. I called the helpline. I was quite clear that I wanted to reactivate an existing registration as I was not in a position to create a new registration Guess what my registration was deleted and I have to make a new one but I can't as I don't have their card reader with me Well done Barclays well done ! Being on hold too long

I called Barclays while in the USA as my card was blocked from using ATM's. The problem is I was on hold for 8 minutes - on the premier line - the normal line I was on hold for 3 minutes? Reviewed on: 12th May 2015

Good standard of employees, knowledgeable and with attention to detail in the Premier Banking Service. Could be a bit more flexible to accomodate customer timetable. Innovative and customer oriented account. Gives lots of extras and freebies. Reviewed on: 29th April 2015
