Review of the Esure, Car Insurance:

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Had a drunk driver crash into my parked car outside my house on 20th August. After an initial phone call all that happened was the offer of a courtesy car. I really didn't want to lose my car to write off so really wanted to wait and see what their damage assessment would be etc before being locked into a claim with them. Fast forward 4 weeks and absolutely zero contact from them. Finally after writing a bad review on Trustpilot they got in contact. Had taken my car to a local place for assessment of damage which I have shared with them. Two weeks later and just more radio silence from them. Utterly useless - how they are a "service" I have no idea. Will NEVER insure with eSure or other companies owned by them again even if it's the cheapest option. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Rubbish company

Worst company ever dealt with

Rip-Off renewal prices

After 1 year they have doubled my premium because I notified them 7 months ago that I had a SP30 (3) Points. Totally get that it would go up slightly, but doubled from £340 to £790? Really? Reviewed on: 22nd February 2023

Absolutely useless

After our car was hit by another it has taken almost 6 weeks and almost 40 hours of phone queues to still not have any correct answers, they can’t follow their own system notes or even give you a straight answer. They never follow up a phone call or an email. One even treated it like a joke. Will never use these again, non existing customer service. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2023

Always have been brilliant with me.

worst insurance company I've ever used in 30 years

I have been with Esure for 3 years, but after 3 years someone crashed into my car and then I found out how bad this company is not only was the customer services and there engineers very very bad, they didn't care as long as they got your money. I've never wrote a review about any company before, but this I felt I had to do to warn anyone from using this company. Reviewed on: 16th February 2023

Told not to store credit card, they did and more.

Upon taking out Esure insurance I specifically told the person that I did not want my credit card stored on their system, I also was VERY clear the reason I did not want my card stored as I do not want an 'auto' cover as in my experience they do as they please with it. So the policy ran out, I took out cover with another company. £600 cheaper! Then just by chance I noticed my credit card had been debited by Esure for the whopping amount of over £1300. No contact, nothing. One email in a sea of emails when I look back. And may I just add, even though I specifically told them not to auto renew or store ANYTHING they did it anyway and amazingly even INCREASED the cost by £400!! No claims, another year of no claims. I called Esure and after the usual 45min wait I got through, Lucky I had noticed within 14 days so wasn't charged a cancellation fee. But I have the funny feeling a LOT of people do. So I would strongly suggest if you do deal with these people, or Any of them to record you phone conversation and/or make sure you change or block the card you use. Reviewed on: 20th December 2022

Steer clear

After 6 months i am still trying to get the vehicle repaired to a reasoble standard, call them weekly to speak to the technician whos dealing with the cliam but no call back, Reviewed on: 9th December 2022
