Steer clear

Doubled my policy when I didnot make a single claim in 5 years

!!!AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Horrible experience when it comes to the UK branch. STAY AWAY!!! Reported car accident. Got email prompting me to upload statement of truth. Received email confirming they have received it. Couple of days later I got another email prompting me to upload statement of truth. I did it again, receiving another email thanking me for sending it. Couple of days later, same thing. Called customer service reporting the issue. Doing statement of truth over the phone asking for confirmation via email to be sure which they promised. Never received any confirmation despite their promise. Couple of days later, another prompt to send statement of truth. No way to email them, so you cannot keep an email trail to prove things. Forced to call them instead. Always minimum 20 minutes waiting time. Calls drop in the middle of the conversation. Getting connected to Statement of Truth Department or Third Party Department, only for nobody to pick up. You get fobbed off half the time. Then a person quoting my phone number wrong, but nobody seems to follow up on that?!?Another email arrives threatening they assume I don't want to claim as I'm not getting in touch with them. I called them every few days, but nobody seems to be able to find out what is happening or send me an email confirmation about me sending my statement of truth. Next thing a letter arrives, claiming they have been trying to call me. They have NOT called me. And that they will turn to me directly for the cost caused to the third party as I was at fault. It's clear they are mixing me up with another customer, but there is no way of getting in touch with anybody who is of any help. Instead all I get are these threatening emails. This has been going on for weeks now. And I'm paying for this 'service'. Seriously!?!?! Such scammers, this is a cheap way of trying not to pay, plus making it impossible for clients to keep a trail of what is going on as everything is happening over the phone. The bottom of the barrel

This company is ran by an "external agency that in isn't fit for purpose". The only way to get them to act like an insurance company is to go through the ombudsman or county court. Abysmal bottom of the barrel isn't low enough. Reviewed on: 18th October 2022

Total loss valuation £2000 less than a replacement vehicle

Non-fault total loss incident. Esure settlement figure is £2000 less than any replacement similar to the lost car. £2000 LESS. If I had known this I would not have insured my vehicle with Esure. Hopefully this review will make you think twice. In a total loss situation trade prices will be used to value your pre accident vehicle leaving you short by a significant sum. STAY AWAY SCAMMERS!!!!!

I have been with them for 5 years and never made a claim, however they increased my policy by over 50%. they reward your loyalty and NCD by increasing your policy. Shop around and you will find plenty of other companies you can use which are x10 better! you have been warned!!!! Reviewed on: 14th October 2022

INCREASED MY INSURANCE BY 60% WHEN i MADE NO CLAIMS IN 5 YEARS

I have been with E-sure for 5-6 years and had no issues with them and their services, however this year when I have not made any claims and have 5 years NCD they have increased my insurance by 60% just because they felt like it. in todays financial environment these bastards are trying to take advantage of people. Don't consider esure car insurance

Never go with esure, especially if you live in the North East of England. If you have an accident and your car needs repairing it'll take months as they only have one garage that works with them. Regardless of the size of your vehicle you will only get a tiny 3 door hatch back courtesy car after months of waiting for repair date. I have a child car seat that has tethers and can't fit in a 3 door so paid enterprise extra to get a 5 door corsa but the child seat didn't fit in that either so I'm unable to take my child to or from nursery for however many weeks it takes to repair. Esure were aware of all of this and really don't care. In summary, don't go near this company Reviewed on: 9th October 2022

Total incompetence

Involved in a accident July 29 2022, and to date (October 9), despite phone calls (that takes at least an hour to get through) and emails, esure still haven't settled my claim, it's for a little under,£4000, despite me making an official complaint, and someone claiming to be dealing with it, offering me £150 compensation, and saying that my claim would be settled within 2 days, still nothing has arrived in my bank account .. I really don't know what else I can do to make esure, deal with the settlement.. I have never, encountered such total incompetence!! Reviewed on: 9th October 2022
