Blanket Refusal To Renew Home Insurance

Received anote 28.12.24 saying they would not renew our home insurance when it runs out in a month. No specific reaosn given, juts that some area had more thefts etc even though I am not aware of any near us. Reviewed on: 28th December 2024

Did not honour home emergency, did not honour storm...

Did not honour home emergency, did not honour storm damage claim, did not honour contents and offered less than a quarter of the cost of remedying the internal damage under accidental damage. Also instruct their surveyors to write down poor workmanship or wear and tear or malicious damage to falsify reports in order to reject genuine claims. Avoid like the plague. Leak in my bathroom

I had a leak in my house back in June 2023 and Hastings Direct still haven’t completed the works. I have had so many different people from Hastings contact me, mis informing me. I was without carpet in my living room for 8 months. My husband, my 8 year old (7 at the time) and myself had to deal with concrete that was so dusty. We were all coughing a lot because of it. Hastings are great

I had hastings for one year it was a smooth experience and they covered everything I needed and wanted. Unfortunately I had to leave as their price had risen a bit too much for me. Leaving was easy, no problems. Reviewed on: 4th September 2024
