Check and confirm everything

Generally ok, but had a negative experience when getting my mortgage. Was told to sign up for an account with a monthly fee and it would reduce the mortgage payment. That sounded good. Agreed. Made payments. Later had chance to review all the finance while sorting out house and wondered where the discount was. Went in to find out and was told no discount. Complained and was basically told tough, not getting monthly payments refunded, can't prove it was misrepresented. ... Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025

Very easy to use the layout is very clear when using online banking. I’ve been banking with hsbc for 3 years now and I have not had a single problem customer service is top tier answered all my questions and wait time is not long at all overall will highly recommend hsbc as I use it daily. Horrifying Experience with HSBC. This is one of the worst banks imaginable; staff are rude, unprofessional, arrogant & smug. My wife had an account with them too & has also been treated horrifically. There is something seriously wrong with this bank & the people who work there. Your money is NOT safe here - I cannot warn anyone strongly enough against opening an account with HSBC Bank anywhere - you will regret it, they are just awful Reviewed on: 19th March 2025
