Discrimination against disabled customer

I tried to apply for the current account switch and even though I can pay in the required amount within the period prescribed it appears that as a disabled person with the income I receive I don't qualify for the switch offer despite being able to meet the advertised requirements. Difficult set up

I arranged for an account switch to take place, mainly due to the £200 bonus being offered, and I was open to trying a new provider. It's been a disaster! The switch has taken place over a week ago, but I am still unable to access my account as they failed to send me an online banking code. When I phoned they sent one out, but when I went to use it, it locked my account and said there was an error. Spent 45 minutes on the phone to speak to an advisor who didn't have a clue and told me to visit a branch, which is impossible for me due to their opening hours (and they are planning to close my local branch soon...) In the end, they sent a new code and I simply have to wait for it to arrive with no access whatsoever to my account. I should have listened to everyone else who said HSBC was useless. Banking

Shocking

Used telephone banking to change my address as I have moved. The person I spoke to was not at all clear and spoke very quietly I asked them if they would talk louder but throughout the call they spoke very quietly. They told me after about half an hour that I had not passed the security questions and that the account was locked and I would have to go into a branch of the bank to rectify. The only branch in Northampton is in the town center is closed until 19th December?? My personal account details are being sent to the old address where all the occupants will now have access to my account?? Reviewed on: 25th November 2022

Absolute shower

I've been an HSBC customer for absolutely years but their customer service recently is appalling even as a premier customer it takes you an hour to get through to speak to somebody who then reads a script and literally can't help. hopefully this review will elicit some sort of response that I can actually speak to somebody who knows what they're doing. do not get an acct with HSBC

just an awful experience every time i have had to use them. on hold atm, 57 minutes and still no one. none of their products are remotely competitive...why did i ever get an account with them?? since switch my main acct across to a mobile bak is has been infinitely better Reviewed on: 5th November 2022

Do not bank with HSBC, they dont listen and just mess around with your account when they want.

HSBC have completely screwed me over and messed up everything for me. I spoke with someone on 21st oct about suspected fraud on my account and they decided to do an indemnity claim against my mobile provider at the same time! without me knowing this and without my permission. so yesterday my phone got blocked and the only way to unblock it is to pay a huge bill which a cannot afford and never received the refund in the first place. In the morning they confirmed to me that they have cancelled the claim and fixed my direct debits. TODAY i notice an email from my mobile company claiming my direct debits got cancelled yesterday evening. so all in all HSBC just decide to do whatever they want and go against your wishes and screw you over. now i have no mobile until the complaint is resolved. I am a carer and have no way of contacting my employer or him contacting me in case of an emergency. this is unacceptable behavior and extremely stressful. as soon as this is resolved i will be leaving HSBC because they clearly so not deserve my custom! Avoid at all costs

Constantly passed from department to department. No customer service. Empty branches. Close your accounts with HSBC as soon as you get the chance. Reviewed on: 25th October 2022
