Review of the Lloyds Bank, Car Insurance:

Consistently terrible

1
They have been consistently terrible, my car was hit on the 31st of January and as of today (29 March) they have taken the courtesy car away from me a month ago (2nd March) and have not paid me a penny they agreed a figure and then decided that their independent assessor was wrong after agreeing it with me. I have now been told that after 8 weeks they will give me an answer in 4 weeks as to what is happening (so 12 weeks to get an answer), no returned calls and cannot be bothered that I do not have a car or the money to replace it. Terrible company that is a front for BISL Ltd and Covea insurance, just corrupt and they could care less about you as a customer. So my next attempt is a 14 day letter and then of too County Court let the judge decide. Reviewed on: 1st April 2022

Beyond Bad

This is an agency which is doing the bank no favours. One way discussion on chat. They did not provide the full contract after asking 3 times including a letter. and have now cancelled my policy and refunded nothing. AVOID Reviewed on: 6th September 2018

Dreadful service

1
Please do not be tempted to go with this company, They are dreadful and come out with every excuse not to help you. Reviewed on: 12th July 2018

Not about a car insurance - Bad service Bad attitude Stupid beyond belief

What can I say . Well don't rely on Lloyds to do the job you expect . When they get it wrong and you show them they are wrong they pull another card out their hat and blame a third party . Can't wait to see them in court . Reviewed on: 16th June 2018

Do It Yourself Insurance

1
Just claimed on my car insurance for accident which was not my fault. Got in touch with Lloyds who took details from here they factor everything else out and you have to provide ALL the details again and again. Enterprise for the car hire (5 minutes of explaining not my fault) and repair (again 20 minutes of reiterating what had already been disclosed) however if the claim is contested then not back to Lloyds it's over to the underwriter LV (40 minutes of reiterating all the details again) Lloyds did not pass these details on. What am I paying Lloyds for?? I have even been told I have to source the CCTV footage of the accident myself?? I paid Lloyds for Legal Protection. What a waste of time. Find someone who does some of the leg work for you. Lloyds have gotten off scot free as I can't get through to them to complain as all claim calls are handled by Enterprise. Pass the Parcel anyone? lots of tricks

1/ you have to accept the 'auto renew' when you buy - you can only opt out afterwards 2/ renewal quote is supposed to give you last years price for comparison- but its not accurate - both mine and my husbands renewal came up with a figure for the previous years insurance far higher(nearly£100) than we actually paid - making the renewal quote look lower - nasty trick - needless to say I wont be renewing! Reviewed on: 7th March 2018

Auto renewal racket.BEWARE

1
Had policies for 50 years and always switch every year. Didn't spot the auto renewal fiddle with lloyds. Tried to stop credit card payment at last minute, but they insisted that I pay £20 for one days cover. Beware. Their second years price was almost double the first year and on MSE over 15 quotes were cheaper. Reviewed on: 25th February 2018

What a rip off

1
I rang to change my vehicle on my policy, the monthly payment not even for 12 months doubled. When I asked about cancelling the policy I was told that this would cost me £95. A new policy would cost me £200 more than a quote I had had. When I said I might as well run the policy and pay it, I was told well your 9 years no claim wont be able to be transferred, I don't care, I am not paying your rip off prices! Reviewed on: 23rd February 2018

Unhelpful

How the face of insurance has changed. There was a time when you could go to an insurer when you changed your car and it took five minutes to make an adjustment and they were happy to do this. Having changed my car recently for a smaller one with lower fuel consumption and less car tax I rang up my insurers, LLOYDS and asked them to change the car over for me only to be told that they couldn't do that. I would have to cancel my present insurance and start afresh. Get this though my new car was, despite being smaller in every way going to cost me more than the original one. Having gone to AVIVA for a quote they are prepared to cover the same car for nearly half the price. I have now had to cancel my LLOYDS policy at a cost of £48 and still I am saving money by going to AVIVA. We are frequently told about insurance cheats who make life very difficult for insurance companies but this works both ways. Will I ever go back to LLOYDS? Of course not! Do they care? I doubt that very much. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2018
