They have proceeded with a renewal of my policy without my consent. I have contacted them on the first day of the renewal, after they took £98 of my account, even though I have never accepted the renewal. Instead of cancelling with today's date, as asked they have cancelled with tomorrow's date (they will charge me with cover for one day) and charge me admin fee for cancelling (even though technically I am in the cooling off period and I have never accepted the renewal). They told me it is my fault for the renewal going ahead, because I should have cancelled it on the app. Și ce when I have to instruct I do jot want a renewal, instead of accepting a renewal? They have cancelled but have not confirmed any refund, but they were sure to tell.me that they can charge me with up to £129 for cancelling, cooling period or not, because I did not cancel on the app and the they went ahead with a renewal. I’ve been with Marshmallow Insurance for over 3 years, never made a claim, and always kept my MOT up to date. However, after I was involved in a car accident, they completely failed me. After reporting the accident, it took them 15 days to provide me with an engineer’s report, and when I asked for the full report to understand what happened, they refused to give it to me. Instead, they just told me the issue was my tyres. Once my policy was cancelled, they provided no support whatsoever. I had no idea where my car was, and they only gave me unreachable contact details for a third-party engineer. I had to spend hours calling different garages and scrap metal companies just to figure out what to do. Marshmallow left me alone, stressed, and completely unsupported in a time when I needed help most. On top of that, they refused to refund the unused portion of my premium and charged me cancellation fees. All of this while they failed to provide me with the guidance I needed to resolve the situation. If you’re thinking about going with Marshmallow for your insurance, DON’T. They may seem like a good deal at first, but when things go wrong, you’ll be left high and dry with no help. This is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Your life is in danger with Marshmallow

People DO NOT GO FOR MARSHMALLOW. They will offer you cheap insurance to hunt you when you are vulnerable the most. But it will cost you more in the future. My partner was at the accident, nearly died at the accident place. Marshmallow set up us at fault even third party waited a fault confirmation statement. They robbed my NCD, all of them even this was my 1st claim in my life. They only paid value of the crashed car. Nothing more even we had adds -on. They stated that at the fault theybare unable to do more.Contact with them is confusing as only when app downloaded . Agents are not professional, they put us through another agent and another and another. Days and months wasted. None of them said same what another. Changes were not made to claim or policy. It's a black hole. They expected me to quit but I have made complains, they came back to me once threating me if I don't answer in 6hrs then I will be unable to proceed with complaint. At the end they never resolved a 1 single thing. SCAMMERS. Your life is not worthy to waste time or feed them. Avoid for your own peace and life. Reviewed on: 10th January 2025

This company is a scam.

I had an accident on 23rd Nov 2024. Made a claim on the same day, today its 5th Jan 2025. and my car is still in my driveway in the same shape it was. It is an absolute joke trying to contact them, live chat, email, everything. Having transport is crucial to my line work and guess what, I lost my job and my only source income due to lack of responsibility of this joke of an insurance company. It's been six weeks and my car hasn't been collected, courtesy car not provided and I am STILL paying for a service they're not providing. When is my car getting picked up? When am I receiving a straight answer? Is there going to be a compensation for my loss of job and loss of earning caused by marshmallow? Additionally why was my contract changed "updated" on 5th Dec without my consent? Reviewed on: 6th January 2025

legitimate scammers. Avoid at any cost. They are quoting me £440 cheaper online, however upon renewal they are charging me £2 more than existing price, with £25 admission fee. I have advised them with this info and they were not willing to help. Please note that I've worked with Marshmallow because of those online comparison websites, and they're telling me that they do not always keep the right info, if that is the case, are you insuring everyone with incorrect information on your database? Upon requesting cancelletion, they have told that there will be fee of £170 too avoid it. Imagine if you had an accident, is this the company going to help you out? I will certainly never ever work with them, even if they quote me the cheapest quote. Now i am working with another provider, who gives £1000 cheaper deal. so my lost here is £170 admission fee, £25 admission fee of renewal(god knows why and how they are charging me when i decide to not renew my contract) Reviewed on: 18th December 2024

Scam- be aware! It is an awful organisation. I reported my accident claim on the day of my accident (23/11/2024); I have not heard from this organisation since, and now I have found out they did not even log it !!!!!! They provide their customers with a telephone number; however, if you call it, you CAN NOT get to speak to anyone; you are directed to "live chat". The "live chat" is absolutely useless; no one has the courtesy to answer the chat at a good time, and if you start a conversation, you speak to a computer!!!!!. What is the point, Marshmallow?! I have been trying to cancel my policy and get the refund payment for December 2024 because I haven't had my car since the end of November (accident). I do not believe you are a genuine insurance company, but more like a scam. RIDICISOLOUS! Reviewed on: 6th December 2024

AVOID - luckily i didnt have a claim...but there business model is clearly to start with sensible price and the ramp up on autorenewal price and make it really difficult to opt out.....you cannot speak to anyone...and chat function is awful....i don't know how companies can get away with this.....but one word of advice AVOID!
