No waiting for replacement debit card I lost my debit card. Popped into the bank and they issued a replacement straight away. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Reviewed on: 1st March 2025

Convenient branch opening times

Current account can be operated on line but I like to use a branch. Eastbourne branch has long opening hours including weekends - VERY helpful. Also enough staff to help, and not have to queue for an age. Staff are all pleasant, helpful, smart, and friendly. No problems. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

Metro not only treat like a valid customer your are a valid customer they sort any issue out and not only that but i feel the my money is in safe hand compared to other companies where i have people trying to commit fraud on my card but with metro bank there is none of that and metro need massive recognition for that Reviewed on: 9th May 2023

Pathetic Customer support

I was accused of fraud cos I received £3000 into my account.Got the person who sent the money to me to send the relavant documents .Still my account is frozen I haven't been to work or do I have money to pay for food or pay my kids excursion fees . Metro Bank doesn't respond nor do they get back to you after several daily contact from me .Thier customer support team doesn't seem trained to deal with simple tasks. They are an ameture bank with minimal training of staff and don't follow through . Please review other banks before making a decision on joining Metro Bank. Metro bank don't tell that you when opening the account that you only allowed £300 max withdrawal and that you not allowed certain amount of transaction before your account is locked . I was a new student in London, UK and needed to open a new bank account and I was recommended by a friend to try out Metro Bank as I had heard they were extremely professional and could help me get my account as soon as possible. Exactly as I way told I was quickly assigned to a rep who I provided all the needed documents to who then quickly helped me set up my account and I had got my debit card within a couple of days and never had an issue with the banking transactions and so on ever since.
