NATWEST STOLE MY MONEY!

NATWEST STOLE MY MONEY! I opened a student bank account in 2015 and I kept it open. Whenever I would visit the UK I would put money in it. In 2024 when I went to visit I get the news that they closed my bank account and I couldn't retrieve the money. I had to file in paper and didn't hear back from them. In 2023 they decided that my country is one of the countries they no longer want to work with and only sent 1 email that I missed informing me that I have 6 months to take my money out. They didn't call me to inform me and didn't send any further emails. In 2024 I was chocked when I went in person to the bank and was told there is no department to talk to about this. Now it's been me calling them I have spend more than 200$ worth of phone bills and I was told now they cannot find the money or my account! The only means of contact with them is via international calls or letter which never seem to arrive. My country is at the brick of war and my money is stolen by Nattiest. Reviewed on: 20th June 2025

The Natwest student account was my first account I chose myself as an adult. It came with good rewards and I found it easy to use. There was also help in-branch when I needed it. Great app, branches, and perks. Ts&Cs apply

I really like NatWest branches (my local branch has been refurbished so maybe I'm biased), there are plenty of staff and cash machines, although counter service is sometimes slow. The NatWest app is also one of the best I've used, smooth to open, secure, feature-packed and pleasant to use. Unfortunately, the student account can only be opened online, but the £100 and free taste card make this an attractive offering. The interest free overdraft is also useful, but bear in mind that this is subject to a credit check, so it may be limited to £500 or less. Reviewed on: 8th January 2024

I would not recommend NatWest to a enemy

Love NatWest

I’ve been with NatWest since I was 16 years old! I am now almost 30! I don’t think I would ever change bank! I love NatWest! They are reliable, honest and trustworthy! Reviewed on: 3rd April 2023

Great app

My favourite part of the app is the spending section which makes it easy to see where your money is going and it allows you to add budget in certain areas and as a university student this is really helpful so I would absolutely recommend the app Reviewed on: 26th March 2023
