They recently changed the T&Cs on this account, increasing the monthly fee, which was very disappointing. However, as my mortgage is also with Santander, that coupled with my DD payments to various utilities, still gives me more cash back than monthly fee, so less happy than I was, but still better than nothing at all. When the fee outweighs the benefits, I'll think again.

Terrible customer service, unhelpful, rude, difficult to get hold of/rip off banking service both credit cards and banking

Every experience I've had with this bank has been hard work from trying to get back online to access credit card facilities to being charged for nothing without being informed! Trying to get hold of customer service to discuss your bank account infuriatingly takes an age only to be told when you get through that they can't help you or they don't know how to. They need to stop pushing the onus onto their customers to do the hard work and start doing it themselves. I would never use these again if they were the only bank left standing! I'd rather stash cash under my mattress.

I've had my Santander 123 Account for several years now and enjoy the convenience and rewards it offers. As a Select Customer I have my own Relationship Manager at my local branch too, so I don't just feel like a number. I also log onto Online Banking every week to view my credit card spending and statements
I particularly trust the 'secure messages' section in the 'Help and Contact Us' tab and when I go overseas I can let Santander know I will be spending abroad so I feel safe and the bank will know where me and my card is !

I have just switched from Barclays to Santander 123 account, where I now not only get 1.5% on my savings in the current account BUT also get cashback on any bills that I pay. It was SO easy to set up and Santander did all the transfer of standing orders/direct debits for me. Now I can look forward to receiving interest on both my savings and payments with full flexibility and accessibility of my account. In my opinion this has to be the best account to have - I fully recommend everyone opening a 123 account today

Excellent Bank

Not really had any problems with this bank. Good customer service, friendly and helpful. Brilliant student account with railcard and fee free overdraft. Online services are great, and so is the app. Only problem is when my card expired a couple of months ago...

Not really had any problems with this bank. Good customer service, friendly and helpful. Brilliant student account with railcard and fee free overdraft. Online services are great, and so is the app. Only problem is when my card expired a couple of months ago they sent me one without contactless, which in itself is a bit annoying considering everyone uses contactless now, but even more so considering I specifically asked for a contactless card when I was setting up my account. This is one tiny mistake however, doesn't outweigh the otherwise brilliant service I've recieved.
