I started with 123 current account

I started with 123 current account and now have the EdgeUp current account. With this I get a good rate of interest on my balance, and cash back on certain direct debits, while having instant access to my money. My wife has a similar account, and we are both very pleased to recommend Santander to others!! Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026

Current Account.

Current Account. I have a 123 current account with Santander. It was very easy and quick to open i did it through the app/website. I could easily manage/check my balance online and in the app. The santander app is probably one of my favourite banking apps i have used. its very user friendly and easy to use. The interest rate was good at the time comparing to the rest of the market however it would be great if this was higher. Reviewed on: 15th July 2025

Santander Current Account-

Santander Current Account- i didn’t realise this had been discontinued, i originally had a student account and it was automatically upgraded to a graduate account and given a £2000 overdraft without asking, at the time this was good however now i cannot get out of it. Reviewed on: 14th July 2025

Is that a bank for the elderly ?

Strong impression that the bank have little time for customers . I approached my local branch 4 times since May 2025 for certificates of interest which they have a statutory duty to provide and on each occasion that certificate was not available and still isn’t . The branch are unable to explain why and the complaints department which I phoned today made it impossible for me to complain . Their „ security questions „ were such that I , as an old person was unable to answer . I need to do my tax return and will not be able to rely on the required certificate . 123 current account was reliable with good cashback

I had a 123 current account with santander, and liked the cashback. The app is fairly easy to navigate but it can be tricky sometimes to access the budgeting tools - they seem not to be available or updated with most recent transactions sometimes. Reviewed on: 18th April 2025
