Solid customer service.

Solid customer service. BUT Website needs radical upgrade. e.g When a new reference is entered for an existing payee, the continuity is lost and the former reference cannot be found! Each individual reference should be able to be retrieved, not eliminated by any which follows for the same payee. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026

Rejected Over Address Format; Santander Wasted My Time

I had a terrible experience with Santander credit cards. I applied for a credit card, and they abandoned my application without even telling me. I only found out after I called them myself, and even then, I was placed on hold for ages before getting an answer. The reason they gave for abandoning my application? My address wasn’t in the exact format they expect. Apparently, the street and apartment number were in reverse order. Seriously? It’s still the same address! How is that a valid reason to just drop my application without notifying me? It’s ridiculous and shows a complete lack of common sense. This whole process was frustrating, unprofessional, and a waste of my time. I expected better from a major bank like Santander. Would not recommend. Reviewed on: 27th January 2025

Appalling disability discrimination

Your online system is unworkable particularly for autistic people like me. I cannot pay my bill despite numerous attempts. I am escalating this as high as possible. Would never recommend and want to close my account immediately Reviewed on: 7th July 2023

Number One for fast service

Needed desperately to fund life saving dental treatment not provided by NHS. Saw an ad for all in one credit card with zero interest. Went into bank and saw a member of staff, all agreed and arranged straight away. Amazing!! Reviewed on: 1st June 2023

My Santander creditcard is blocked

My Santander creditcard was block 8-days ago. I went to the branch to show my passport and proof of income the next day. I was told the card will be unblocked within 48-hours. I have been calling their customer services twice a day for over a week. It takes 30-60 minutes wait time plus 30 minutes if the call is transferred to another department. The calls were also disconnected many times. Every time I call, the customer services said sit back and keep an eye on your mobile and wait for a call back for their security team. Santander creditcard department is one of the worst to help customers. I have applied for another creditcard today. Please don't waste time with Santander. Reviewed on: 27th April 2022

What a joke of a bank

What a absolute joke of a bank, there customer service is an absolute joke, they mock customers, good luck banking with such a horrible bank, they make money from your money and then the service they provide! Is so poor! If it wasn’t for us customers banks wouldn’t even exist! Reviewed on: 19th February 2022
