Avoid this company

After using the tymit card for 18 months, without notice I was advised my card was suspended and my account would be closed once my balance was paid, this is despite always managing my account correctly and having no issues with the other 3 credit cards I have or my credit rating. No reasonable explanation was offered and having viewed other reviews it is a common theme for Tymit to just close your account when they decide to irrespecitve of your account management. I would suspect Tymit are in trouble financially judging my the amount of accounts they are closing. When I took the account out 18 months ago it was advertised as the new credit card, well it seems it’s the credit card that closes your account despite using your card correctly. Do not trust!

They are extremely unhelpful when making mistakes and often try to take the incorrect amounts from you. Their teams are unable to make simple calculations and don’t respond quickly to requests. Happy to take the money on my they tried taking a direct debit when the balance was £0 then wanted a late payment fee when I had a balance of £0. Reviewed on: 18th August 2023

The end of Tymit

Tymit was once hailed as an innovation. Offering to reinvent the credit card. The option to bundle an plan payments in to a 3 month 0% payment plan was it's main USP. It was incredibly useful too. There are of course options to replan for longer periods for a cost. However, over time thes cost of payment plans have increased significantly, credit limits are low and now they have removed the main USP of 3 month payment plans for 0%. There is now simply no reason to use this card. It's now just an expensive, low value card which can be beaten by most others on the market. I'll be cancelling my account and moving over to Monzo Flex for credit purchases going forward. Bye Tymit, it was fun while it lasted. Reviewed on: 28th June 2023

Appalling level of communication and customer service. AVOID!!!

Over 2 weeks ago on 23rd of April I reported two fraudulent unauthorized payments on my Tymit card, in every way available to me (email, messages on the transactions within the app and leaving a voicemail on the number provided on the back of the card). It took Tymit over 48 hours(!) to get back to me and block my card, by which time my card had been nearly maxed out with over £700 of fraudulent unauthorized transactions. It then took another 48 hours to be transferred to the disputes department, who sent me one email, to which I responded straight away, and who have now told me nothing since the 27th April, despite me sending them numerous further emails. This whole process has been so UNBELIEVABLY SLOW and upsetting. My bill is now due today with hundreds of pounds of fraudulent transactions on it and I still cannot get a reply out of Tymit with regards to what I am supposed to do with my bill and where I stand with my claim. This level of communication and customer service for a modern financial firm is appalling. AVOID!!! And they are now refusing to refund ANY of the stolen money because I provided scammers who were claiming to be Tymit with an SMS code which included ‘’We will never ask you to share this code.’’ Those scammers rang me 24 hours after I had informed Tymit of the first fraudulent transactions. It then took Tymit ANOTHER 24 hours to reply to me, and cancel the card, then telling me not to answer any calls claiming to be from them. If it hadn't taken Tymit over 48 hours to block the card and reply to me after my telling you there were fraudulent transactions on the account, then the stolen amount would have been under £45 as opposed to over £740!!!. I'll never use your services again, I'll be warning everyone I can about how appalling Tymit have been in every possible way and I'll be contacting the financial ombudsman. Thank-you for absolutely nothing. I cannot reiterate strongly enough. AVOID!!!! Reviewed on: 11th May 2023

Would highly recommend a product from Tymit as they are easy to use and have helped me manage additional and unexpected purchases better.

They allow the customer to rearrange payment timescales and the interest rate is very competitive. The app makes it easy for me to manage my bills and rearrange payment plans as and when required to suit my monthly budget. Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Fair and transparent

You can pay anything with 0% interest over a period of 3 months. If you need to spread out things further, there will be interest and the app actually shows you how much it will be overall and what you pay for it every month. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2023

The Monzo of credit cards
