Black box is a joke, worst company ever with fake statistics, only had the black box fitted a week ago and it has already gave wrong scores, the first few days my driving score was 10+ and I went 2 mph over the speed limit and it suddenly dropped to -10. Wish I could put 0. Absolute con. So it DOES have hidden curfews, between 11pm and 6am you will get a bad bad score for driving, you could drive perfect, still get a bad score. Although this is when theres not a lot of traffic, and it isn't because it's dark, in winter it can be pitch black by 4pm so that's a load of codswallop. So if you dont want to be rushing home, or if you dokt work 9-5 jobs, choose a different insurer. The amount that we have payed to add more miles is a joke. PAYING for miles, in your own car? Really?? How is a new driver gonna know how many miles they will use? They don't, we have 8 months left, and only around 850 miles left, and cannot afford to add any more on to our monthly amount. The amount we are paying now after adding another 1000 miles, is THE same as without a blackbox. Blackbox accuracy, NIL, several times we have called and waited for scores to go back after been given a -10 speed, and they've detected us as being on roads we weren't and said we were speeding, because of the different limits, eg one time we was doing 50 in a national, they detected us as being on a different road with a 30mph limit and give bad scores, no bad driving, just bad silly black boxes. You slam on to not run a dog or child over, or avoid crashing into someone pulling out? Smoothness -10, GOOD ONE. Absolutely inaccurate money grabbing company You say you're not very happy with some things and all they say is, "leave then", very helpful. Infact yes very, because when these miles are up, we will be cancelling and changing to a cheaper insurer, without a blackbox. Don't bother, you may see a cheaper price on quotes, but overall you will end up paying more!!!! Reviewed on: 21st February 2019

Auto renewed after cancelling auto renew! and took my money anyway!!

I am fuming! They have taken 565GBP WITHOUT my consent. Firstly their website didnt find my address when I bought the policy in 2018, so I had to phone and speak to an advisor. When I moved house, it was seamless. When I changed my car, again, it was easy to do so. But to try and cancel the auto renew! What a joke! I tried to phone 3 times, no answers, I then contacted Linson via Live Chat and explained what I wanted to do. He accepted that I had cancelled the auto renew. But a few days after the due date, I contacted for my NCB. I logged in to find a new policy started in 2019 and that 565gbp was taken from my bank account. I phoned up, apparently I had asked to cancel THE auto renew, not to cancel ON auto renew!! I did exactly what the website tells you to do to not auto renew! I phoned up to cancel this policy as I had not authorised it, and to get a refund. I was told 4-5 working days for the money to be back in my account. 1 week later and I phone to see where it is.. its not been processed and will be in my bank account in 4-5 working days!! What an absolute joke! I asked for a manager and to be escalated. They said they might be able to do an electronic funds transfer.. WHY cant they do that to begin with!? STAY WELL AWAY FROM MORE THAN SMART WHEELS INSURANCE ITS JUST ONE BIG SCAM

Insured my daughters car AUGUST 2018 with this company, thinking it was a reputable company! How wrong I was! I paid just short of £1000 pound for the 12 months with 5000 miles! Big mistake, which I had been warned by others and didn't listen. She only had 1000 miles left just before Christmas, So being a good dad I called them to add more mileage, I couldn't believe I had to pay £175.00 for 1000 miles. After an hour on the phone with them explaining where she could improve ie don't travel after 11pm. This Feb 18 my daughters scores for speed/smoothness has been 10/10, she's not driven after 11pm as advised, yet her usage would fail to get above 5 .All her driving has been local journeys and out of peak times! The black box doesn't benefit you for driving out of peak times and also in rural quiet area's. I called them yesterday to get a cost for another 1000 miles, I WAS GOB SMACKED £180.00. The lady on the phone was pleasant enough but told me that making more than 7 journey's in 24hrs they would be penalised her for it, no matter how far she travelled in the journey? At no point were we made aware of this when I signed up to this over the phone, apparently its in your terms and conditions they send you! The ones that are that small you can't read!!! THIS IS A TOTAL FARSE, THERE IS NO WAY YOU ARE GOING TO ACHIEVE 10/10 FOR USAGE UNLESS YOU LEAVE YOUR CAR PARKED UP PERMANENTLY. My daughter has only been driving 5 months now, but watching her you would think she had been driving for some years, how can anyone gain experience if their being penalised for taking the car out. I was also made aware that if she had gained maximum points for the month it would of been £150 per 1000 miles at its best price. THIS IS JUST A MONEY MAKING PIT, GIVE YOU A CHEAP QUOTE TO START WITH TO LURE YOU IN. I THOUGHT DICK TURPIN DIED ALONG TIME AGO!!! BE WORNED IF YOU WISH TO USE YOUR CAR DON'T INSURE WITH SMART WHEELS!!!!! Reviewed on: 4th February 2019

Black Box SCAM, Poor Customer Service

I chose MORE THAN as my first year insurance company as it was very cheap in comparison to all the other companies, BIG MISTAKE! Firstly my monthly payments were increased by £20 per month from changing to an address which gave me a much cheaper quote than my original address (this is not too big of an issue). Secondly they say your usage score is only affected when taking lots of journeys or driving after 11pm which is fair enough however over the past few months I have been persistently marked down for driving my car at any time. Using my car from 2pm till about 10pm resulted in a - score which is disgusting. I have been emailed asking to provide feedback on my insurance and my experiences only to be told I am wrong for providing my opinion on their service. DO NOT RECOMMEND. PLEASE STAY AWAY EVEN IF THEY ARE YOUR CHEAPEST QUOTE. SHOP AROUND AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE EVEN IF IT COSTS AN EXTRA 100+ ANNUALLY. Reviewed on: 25th January 2019

Worst company ever!

Don’t fall in the same I trap I fell into! The price was very deceiving given that it was the cheapest insurance company for a new driver. Not only is their customer service poor, but the policy itself is terrible especially if you install a black box. They will score your usage down if you’re stuck in traffic for over an hour and if you drive after 11. If you can avoid getting a policy with them and go for a better alternative do so with no hesitation as you will save yourself from unnecessary stress, knowing that you’re paying a higher amount for a better and more professional company! Poor Service.

Having insured my vehicle with another company, after cancelling my renewal with More Than, I was repeatedly sent letters and then threats. Despite several phone calls and reassurances from telephone operators that my policy was cancelled I continued to receive letters from this company. Harassment and misery. Absolute joke of a company and love with a great passion fu***** there customers up the ar** with there black boxes honestly they will shove it so far up there that it’ll be monitoring your heart rate MORE THAN your driving this company’s cheap for a reason, cause if they weren’t the cheapest they wouldn’t have any business, they well and truly F***** me up the A*** and took £1700 for the privilege avoid please don’t make the same mistake I did cause I’ve now got a sore ring and I’m skint with no insurance Reviewed on: 24th December 2018

My driving is fine, I’m scoring 10/10 for speed and 10/10 for smoothness but because I use my car quite a lot (but still in the allocated mileage I was given) they mark you down so much so now my overall score is 2/10 purely for the fact I use my car a lot, i rang up as I didn’t feel like it was fair and they told me if I use my car more than 4 times in a day I will get marked down, it is very Hard to get your score back up, you make one little mistake and they will bring your score straight down, but you drive perfectly for 3 weeks straight and your score will not go up st all, its a joke my insurance is up until in April and I will not be returning with them, also I went to Skegness on holiday about 4 and a half hours away from me, my car broke down while I was away and had to be towed home on the back of a tow truck, the engine was off I had the keys in my pocket so I know it was definitely off but because the tow truck was speeding and not very smooth they marked my score all the way down and marked down my miles because my black box picked up th tow trucks driving, apparently more than reckon my engine was definitely on and they could tell I was driving, it wouldn’t even start so I don’t know how they can tell it was definitely used it got towed 4 hours back to my house because I couldn’t drive it ridiculous! dont expect More Than ZERO customer service

Found the company to be wholly unaccommodating and their contact procedure nothing but diversionary and obstructive. They Do not respond to emails and their phone system is an unfunny joke. Passed from pillar to post and only helpful when they want your money. Have had to threaten them with Data Protection Act and the Financial Ombudsman. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
