CORRUPT COMPANY!!

I insured my daughter as a first time driver with More Than. It really is impossible, if they go a couple of miles mph over the speed limit they are penalised and after 3 times this happened they informed us that it would be cancelled. Big admin fee now to pay. The customer service is very confusing, different answers from different people. Stressful experience and this is the first time I have put up a complaint about anything. I repeat everything every other person has said. I also had to by extra miles three times, costing more each time, just bought an additional 1000 miles then two days later my son drove 63 in a 60 road ( fair enough) but the cancelled the policy 11 months into the contract and we lost the monies just paid. Extortion and digusting

I'm completely a new driver and with no realistic expectation on the annual mileage I would do, I decided to choose 5000 miles. Now I am expected to exceed this by 3,000 miles only to find out it's going to cost £1,204 and that's a plus 2 score. I'm cancelling my insurance and going elsewhere. Reviewed on: 25th January 2018

Smart wheels is a money generator

More than insurance is a total scam! My student daughter is in tears with this company they are a disgrace, this smart wheels policy they offer is a cash generator, £180 for 500 extra miles, 108 miles into this 500 extr they sent her a notice of cancellation, only two month of her policy to go, a phone call later and they now want £290 extra for 1000 more miles!!!!!!! Apparently the 500 she purchased is now not acceptable to them?!? So unless she she agrees to an additional 1000 they are cancelling the policy! You gits! They kept her on the phone telling her if she hung up the quote would increase, she put Lewis on hold and phoned me in tears, they would not allow us to pay the extra in a lump sum to save her the stress, the payment had to come from her account? She is a student ffs and struggling as it is you slimy money makers, they refused to send her the updated quote saying it was against company rules to share that information? Go on tell me why? How can a company refuse to send a quote or invoice for a policy extra? Where is the money going. It sounds to me that the team at moron sorry more than are on commission for extras, it all seems to double glazing salesman to me, why does she have to pay now? Window salesman tactic, why will the price go up if she does not pay now? Window salesman tactic, why can your team not send a revised invoice/ quote? Conning salesman avoiding VAT tactic, why only accept debit card payments? Window salesman tactics or someone fearful of a chargeback! Cash is king now how about a new front door? Morons sorry more than is scamming inexperienced youngsters! Avoid at all costs do not be fooled it is not worth the stress. Note to more than we will join any joint court action against you now you have caused my daughter and us so much stress and money, in my opinion you have tricked us and Mis sold her this policy after her inputting her information. At the start she told them her family home is in one city but was a student at a university in another, so she was living away from home of course, they understood that and continued with the quote, months later they contacted her saying her policy was incorrect and the vehicle was not being kept at the family home, they were aware of that! But penalised her for that fact after being made aware and the correct section of the quote being filled in saying all that. She is studying aviation and also told them she would be driving at odd hours including early AM they were ok with that at the time of the quote but not after! They shafted her score what ever that is saying she was driving at unreasonable hours and penalised her score? They were aware to start with! You tell me how driving very early in the morning is more risky than at peak times? They also said repeatedly at the time of selling the policy that she would need a black box they repeatedly told her it would only need to be on for six months! You lying gits! I demand you stop telling people that because that is a lie! That is not correct and your team are telling people that but when it comes to it they are learning the hard way. I do not like the way you also cancel policies so easily! You are ruining young people's lives acting in that way! You not only damage the credit history and policy that shows as being cancelled effects future quotes! So if this is a way of increasing prices year on year then I hope some government body screws you over good and proper you damn well deserve it. Stop acting like crooks be honest and open! Yes money is all you are after I understand that but go about it the correct way! Me and my family will now not use more than or any company associated with it ever again! Yes they offer the lowest price at first. Into my second year with them unfortunately now. First year only done 5000 miles out of the 6000 I had. with that in mind I then go into the second year with a new 6000 miles. My car says I have done 10000 so I have 2000 Miles left on average. According to more than I only have 1000 And I am now äóìexpectedäó to exceed by 2500 which is Stupid amounts to pay as a 19 year old. Not only that, the scores provided are fales. First year had +10 on the smoothness category, come to the second year policy from the start the smoothness is always -10. I always question how someoneäó»s driving can change that much by a year especially when Iäó»m a responsible driver, never speed and never race or rev my car. This is leading to me having to pay an extra 2000-3000 pound. Wouldnäó»t recommend them! Reviewed on: 17th December 2017

Being made to pay £700 for their mistake.

I had a car accident a few months back. The driver in front slammed on his breaks purposely. My car got written off. The other drivers car was fine, bit of damage not much done. A month later I ask to carry on my insurance because I have finally managed to save up for a new car considering I am only 19. They refused to insure me again. Leaving me to find someone else to go with. A month later I get a call from morethan, saying they thought the accident was done on purpose. They paid out £700 to the other driver for a new car. When the claim hadn’t been closed and they didn’t know what was happening at that point in time. Currently on the phone now complaining but doesn’t look like I’m getting through. Shittest service I’ve ever recieved. DO NOT recommend this company at all. They’re cheap because of how they are as a company. Reviewed on: 5th December 2017

If you are thinking of insuring with this Company ... DONT !! I feel like we have been ripped off beyond belief. We are currently 8 months into my son's first year of insurance. He has done 7000 miles. We have already paid £1900 for the initial policy and £800 for 2000 extra miles. His car is worth £400. Customer Service is disgusting and unhelpful. They are targeting young drivers and basically once you buy a policy and go over the mileage (5,000 miles) (The average person does 12000 per year.) they have you over a barrel, they charge an exhorbitant amount for extra miles which you are forced to accept as if you cancel the policy you are left without a year's no claims. What was quoted as the best policy initially is now going to cost me over £3,600. Do not be fooled and go with them because they come out the cheapest as for what they offer it is not worth the money. I wish I had read all the reviews on them (look on trust pilot) before I gave them my hard earned cash. Reviewed on: 29th November 2017

Informed company that I was not going to renew car insurance with them online. Set up for insurance to start with another company. Checking my bank account as Christmas here and had been putting money aside only to find out that more than had taken money out to pay insurance. Contacted them regarding this only to be told they wanted me to send proof that I had purchased car insurance (what a cheek) and to send proof to them before they would look into it ! I have done this as I cannot afford to pay for two car insurances on the same car, I am still waiting for return of funds,. Dreadful dreadful service Reviewed on: 24th November 2017

Shocking insurance company. My sons policy was cancelled because he forgot to top up his mileage! We had no correspondence advising of the cancellation, no hard copy sent just an email saying the policy was cancelled. The customer service is awful and is a mockery for young drivers who struggle to get decent car insurance. The insurance quote may seem initially reasonable but the extra mileage is extortionate!! Daylight robbery. Please stay clear. I went with these merely because RSA had a good reputation, how foolish of me to believe this!! I only wish I could rate this without publishing any stars. AVOID THIS DO NOT TAKE OUT INSURANCE WITH THIS BUNCH OF CROOKS Basically they target young drivers, go on money supermarket.com and your find they come up at a good price, so you go with them but your have to pay a large deposit in my daughters case £580 quid, they will then fit a box and then send you message saying you have been speeding and then a second message your policy is being cancelled. No where when you purchase does it state this can happen (apparently section 7 im told ) but when you purchase it hightlights all the things to make you buy like No Curfew, No Fines and all other nice things, now if its that easy to get your policy cancelled then its misrepresentation of the product it should be clearly stated to warn you of this so basically they just robbing young people. - If you get your policy canceled it will also screw you for getting a new policy so if this has happened to you recently and they are about to cancel i suggest you cancel it before them. I will be setting up a facebook page / group or email address so anyone else that has had this can get in touch as i am taking it to BBC Watchdog and Media - this is a obvious scam and ROYAL SUN ALLIANCE who are the underwriters should removed MORE THAN from their list of Brokers if they had any sense..... SO PLEASE WARN OTHERS DONT LET THESE CROOKS GET YOUR MONEY - Court action is the way i am going with this as its miss representation of the product its a major part of the contract but they do not highlight this, and in addition if you dont get your black box fitted they will cancel also even if you can not make the dates or your car is in for repair as this was the first issue we had with them RSA sorted it out Reviewed on: 19th October 2017
