Review of the Nationwide, FlexAccount:

Moral but largely ineffective

Nationwide have again sent out notification that selected customers will be receiving £100. This is an interesting way for a building society to reward customers, especially as the interest rates are very low to non-existent. Nationwide is trustworthy to my mind, but probably not the right choice for anyone trying to be savvy about money. Their lack of branches near me (in a busy urban area) is a big failing sadly. No interest whatsoever

They need to get with the times

I opened a bank account to keep an eye on my mortgage and make it easier to make overpayments. You can't pay cheques in through the app unlike Barclays, our nearest branch is quite some way away, things aren't that much easier doing anything and ringing them you are on hold for ages, employ more staff and update your technology! Friendly, reliable service

I've banked with Nationwide for many years, and I really appreciate that our local branch is still open when so many high street banks have closed. It's so important to be able to deal with real people face to face, and the staff at our Nationwide in Exmouth are always so helpful. The new Fairer Shares initiative is a nice bonus too! Great flex account

Love my Flex account as it means I don’t have to pay monthly charges for a decent current account. No frills account but with an overdraft. Easy to use app and staff always helpful on customer helpline ! 5/5 ! Reviewed on: 11th April 2023

I LOVE NATIONWIDE
