Really happy with the switch to Nationwide.

Really happy with the switch to Nationwide. It's an ethical bank with great cash back and interest benefits. Reviewed on: 26th January 2026

Thankfully, Nationwide still have a branch open in Lincoln, where we were helped set up a joint account. Excellent help given. Reviewed on: 25th January 2026

Exceptional Bank and Customer Service with Real People

I have been a Nationwide Customer for over 20 years and cannot recommend them more! High interest rate accounts for saving, branches still open so you can still see a human being as well as the extra bonuses still paid out to customer! Reviewed on: 24th January 2026

I like that loyalty is rewarded

I like that loyalty is rewarded through one-of thank you payments for being a member. I'm glad they got rid of the card reader, as it was too much hassle to use when you wanted it needed to make a payment but didn't have the machine to hand. I would end up transferring to another bank account in my name to make payments, even to reputable businesses. Reviewed on: 24th January 2026

Been with Nationwide for decades but...

4
Have been banking with Nationwide for decades without problems and up until recently I would have rated the customer service as excellent. However a recent issue with a transaction forced created a need to contact the bank and the experience was not good. The website is set up only to answer FAQs and call wait times to speak to an operator are 45 mins + at ANY time day or night. Operators give incorrect information and don't seem to be able to see or access relevant information and just provide a tel number to (Incorrect in one case!) another part of the organisation. I'm left feeling that I might as well just move to an internet only challenger bank like "Starling" and get same banking with no service and better interest rates. NW pretends to be a friendly B-S but has become as arrogant as any other bank. Not being able to use the Post office for paying in cash/checks (which other banks support ) is also a real drawback when one lives in a rural area. Reviewed on: 24th January 2026
