Review of the Nationwide, FlexAccount:

Moral but largely ineffective

Nationwide have again sent out notification that selected customers will be receiving £100. This is an interesting way for a building society to reward customers, especially as the interest rates are very low to non-existent. Nationwide is trustworthy to my mind, but probably not the right choice for anyone trying to be savvy about money. Their lack of branches near me (in a busy urban area) is a big failing sadly. Superb account, fantastic reliable friendly bank.

Love Nationwide. As a relatively new customer, I'm so pleased I moved accounts to them. Reliable, friendly, supportive and good interests rates too. Always helpful in branch, works well online, and meets all my needs with ease. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

very poor customer service

Someone wrongfully charged my account and I went overdrawn. The money was credited back a couple of days later. I had to pay bank penalty charges yhe custer helpline were atrocious. Only make as much for the bank. Closed account as a result. These claim to be a caring bank. Just got told to charge gge money back from the company making the mistake. Needless to say they refused to provide documentary evidence. I would not ever go near these bunch of charltans ever again. Even if they offered me £5000 to switch. The reason I am so frustrated was the way the helpline told me basically tuff luck it is your problem not ours.... Reviewed on: 16th March 2023
