If you’re eligible for an overdraft, the first £50 is interest free. The FlexDirect account has to be managed online or over the phone, not at the branch.

Great Bank

Great deals shame anout the app

I get excellent interest and rates at nationwide. The app however is a little tricky and you can only pay a new person by using a computer rather than just the app. Reviewed on: 26th November 2017

A good place to bank

I have banked with Nationwide for many years. I have found them to be straightforward, helpful and honest. They always try to help, and have specialist staff who are easy to contact when I need more in-depth advice. Whilst no easy access accounts offer great returns, I find Flexdirect a good product that fulfills my day-to-day banking requirements. It is easy to use and all the basics can be done at the ATM machine. A great help in very small bank that happens to very busy! Reviewed on: 21st November 2017

Good Benefits

Moved from another high street bank to Nationwide Flexdirect account. It has great benefits with a % interest on anything in the account, which i note not many current accounts do. Similarly I have the linked saver with 5%. The woman in branch i set up the account with was very helpful and ran me through everything and could answer all questions. She was great, no wavering she knew her stuff. Reviewed on: 15th November 2017

Banking with benefits

I have always had a nationwide account but in the past few years have changed to Flex direct because of the travel insurance. The customer support is excellent, I recently had trouble claiming back from a flight delay and they helped me, covering my claim and offering me a great deal on long term travel plans.
