If you’re eligible for an overdraft, the first £50 is interest free. The FlexDirect account has to be managed online or over the phone, not at the branch.

Once the leader, now nothing but annoying adds

Long time customer which once had numerous accounts. Nationwide is now dead in the water and only interested in rewarding new customers and not keeping old....good luck to them, I feel they'll need it especially with the cost of those terribly annoying constant adds! Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

I loveeee nationwide, how easy it is to amend address details on the telephone, the agents on the phone are always so lovely! And the app and website is so easy to use and it is secure. False reassurance

I was advised across three channels, online, telephone and in branch in person that if my husband was added to my account as a new customer we would receive a 5% rate for 12 months from account opening. Despite the recent slashing of interest rates following the BoE’s decision to drop the base rate Nationwide provide excellent service. Whilst some accounts are online only I have still been helped thoroughly if I have gone in branch with a query. They are extremely transparent and honest in their approach which is refreshing in the banking industry. Reviewed on: 29th April 2020
