If you’re eligible for an overdraft, the first £50 is interest free. The FlexDirect account has to be managed online or over the phone, not at the branch.

Fabulous Service

AS I work full time I can only get to the branch on a Saturday. Staff always welcoming. Sorted my savings out and I'll be with them for a mortgage too Reviewed on: 26th March 2015

Simple, fair, easy - Nationwide really does seem on your side!

I transferred to Nationwide from an 'international' bank, which didn't cater to my needs abroad & enjoyed sneakily charging me for anything they could get away with. Nationwide, in contrast, has integrity. It seems fairer and I find easier to keep on top of my finances since I switched. The staff are very down to earth (both in branch & at the call centre) and helpful. A genuine recommendation for anyone who has become bemused with banking. Reviewed on: 29th January 2015

Nice free current account

This is a great free current account. Many are now asking for a fee, but this is a great free alternative. Reviewed on: 21st November 2014

Excellent

I recently switched my bank account to a Nationwide flex direct. I took advantage of their account switching service to move all of my direct debits and salary to my new account with them. The communication with them was great and everything happened smoothly and in a timely manner.
