I always managed family finances but was near death in hospital for three weeks and my husband accrued an overdraft equal to three months mortgage. My rare illness hit the headlines for three consecutive weeks and when I visited NatWest I was told not to worry about the overdraft, I would be charged no interest because they knew I’d clear it in time now I was back in charge!
