Review of the NatWest, Fixed Rate Mortgage:

Easy to set up

Easy to set up and manage with great rates Reviewed on: 30th January 2020

Very helpful

I have been a Natwest customer for years. Recently I telephoned to increase my instalments, two months on and I was still paying the lower amount. Needless to say I was a little annoyed. So after a lengthy phone call, the instalment was finally increased and £150.00 compensation deposited in my account. Result! Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Easy to swap over no hassle

Changing over to Natwest mortgages was easy. A meeting first, paper work then a valuation of house which was all done in quick time. Simple with no hassles Reviewed on: 21st November 2015

Awful experience

NatWest constantly miscalculated my mortgage and, due to their calculations, have put me into arrears despite overpaying every month! Their customer service is incompetent and unhelpful. Reviewed on: 26th August 2015

So friendly

This was my first mortgage and it was a bit of a scary process for me committing to something as big as a mortgage. But my NatWest mortgage went through with care and support from a highly experienced advisor. Reviewed on: 29th June 2015

Straightforward to set up, with competitive charges and interest rate.

We were attracted to NatWest for our fixed rate mortgage because of the low rate and competitive charges. It was easy to set up and the bank's people were pleasant to deal with. Although our valuation was lower than we had anticipated, putting us outside of the best interest rate, the bank honoured the lower rate we had originally quoted. We are NatWest current account holders, so it's easy to see the mortgage going down a little each month via online banking. The 'get out' fee is pretty steep so you are completely tied in for the duration of the fixed term, but I suppose this is the trade off for the peace of mind of a fixed monthly payment.
