Waiting

Over 2 months since claim…. Sent documents in 3 times… when you phone they make out they can’t hear you…. Absolutely shocking…. This is my daughters claim and she is only a student and £400 out of pocket for her hospital treatment. Reviewed on: 20th October 2022

No stars - Avoid, avoid, avoid No stars - not one star - the inability to give 0 stars artificially boosts their overall score. Had to cancel flights because of a cancer diagnosis after booking and taking out insurance. It has taken 9 weeks to settle the claim despite being straightforward with medical evidence etc all presented within the first two weeks. Helpful and professional

Customer services are always very helpful on the phone when you ring to update your policy and discuss health details. There is no waiting around in long queues. The agents are well trained to discuss what details need to be flagged up and which level of cover is right for your family. Reviewed on: 18th September 2024

Awful at all aspects of customer service

Used as felt they would be reliable, excellent at taking your money. When it comes to making a claim for a cancelled flight, obstacle after obstacle; no interest in listening to any reason, refused to offer any assistance or pay the claim. Avoid, useless policy.

I had my purse stolen whilst in Spain. It contained my passport which meant I missed my flight and had to book an extra stay in a hotel whilst waiting for my emergency passport to be issued. Costs incurred over £500. On arriving home I had submitted a claim, only to be told the insurance doesn't cover this. The only thing covered is the emergency passport which cost less than the excess! Do not use "Post Office" travel insurance take a nettle with you at least when you touch it you will know you have been stung. Mere criminals maskarading as legitimate traders. We all know insurance is a con in most cases, not worth the paper it's written on but never thought such a recognised brand could act so low. Flooding in Dubai led to our flight being cancelled.

Flooding in Dubai led to our flight being cancelled. Insurance adjusters Collinson Group are being devious, misquoting the Post Office Travel Policy and conveniently failing to mention the key part. A natural catastrophe includes flooding. Yes, it does, but actually the policy refers to flooding of 50 sq km! Dubai flooding was far smaller byt Collinson can't see it. Do NOT use Post Office insurance

We used Post Office insurance as they SHOULD be a reputable company. The cost was sensible, but when we wanted to make a claim (a missed port on a cruise) we discovered they are absolute rubbish. Their contact number keeps saying "use online" and when I eventually got to talk to "Kirk" I just got cut off as soon as I said I wanted to make a claim.
