They took my money for a transfer from JFK to my hotel in New York. BA Flight was cancelled and impossible to get hold of anyone to change car booking to a later time that day. Managed to get hold of driver but he said he couldn't do anything. USA Emergency Number did not work. Holiday Extras on they web talk page told me you can't change your booking on the day of travel - tough luck they implied - even though this was completely out of my control. You can't speak to a human being only AI which is very frustrating - they wash themselves on any responsibility quoting its in the Terms and Conditions which I didn't receive from the USA Courier. As long as they have your hard earned money that's all it appears they are interested in. I have used this company in the past and as long as everything runs smoothly no issue but when something goes wrong as it did to me forget it your on your own. Will NEVER USE this company again and I advise anyone to stay clear - there bordering on being Rogue Traders. There are much better products on the market. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2026

Great service at renewal

At renewal time I phoned first a quote. They were able to remove a couple of medical inclusions as no treatment was being undertaken. This saved us a lot of money. Reviewed on: 16th July 2026

They didn't make a drama out of a crisis!

I had the misfortune to have to claim on my travel insurance which I'd taken out with Holiday Extras, because 2 weeks before our cruise my partner had a heart attack and ended up having a triple heart bypass operation. I notified the company who said there was no rush to claim so 3 months later I put my claim in and it was agreed and settled within a few days of my submitting the required documents. I'd definitely recommend Holiday Extras Travel Insurance and have renewed my annual insurance with them. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Discussed with agent our requirements and was given a full and comprehensive options available to me. No pressure to choose immediately and value for money I thought was excellent especially with cruise cover and me and my wife's medical conditions. Reviewed on: 19th February 2026

AS a yearly customer the process for renewal was easy and straightforward, an early reminder that the old policy was expiring, easy to follow steps and most importantly hardly any cost increase! Reviewed on: 18th February 2026

Finding the most suitable option for me was simple, quick and straightforward. The clear price breakdown made it easy to understand exactly what I was paying for and genuinely felt like good value for money. The follow‑up communication was timely, informative, and reassuring, giving me the confidence I needed while travelling abroad and ensuring I felt fully supported throughout the entire process.
