Peace of mind

I arranged my travel insurance with Staysure after my existing insurers decided to withdraw their cover after I had surgery in April. They would not even cover me for the medical conditions that I had cover for previously. Apparently they have an “all or nothing” policy and won’t cover for up to 2 years after surgery despite me being fully recovered and discharged by the surgeon. At the age of 73 I don’t think I can wait for 2 years before cruising again especially after the Covid pandemic restrictions. I called Staysure and gave full details of my medical circumstances and they were happy to offer me cover. As it was an annual policy there was a special offer of 15 months for the price of 12 with a discounted price as well. My previous policy was part of my bank account and Staysure’s price was higher than I had been paying but I was happy to accept the price quoted so that we would be able to cruise again. I added the cruise specific option and the level of cover was far better than my previous policy so I would say that I had got value for money. I have been impressed with the communications I have received from Staysure keeping me up to date with the changing face of travel in the context of Covid. Their website was very user friendly and I would be happy to recommend them to my family and friends. The only reason I haven’t scored them 10 was because their computer system had a blip whilst I was trying to pay and I had to repeat the application. However all’s well that ends well and I feel fully protected for my future travel needs. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2021

Covid missold cover

My wife and both came down with covid 8 days before holiday cancelled holiday and reported to staysure who passed onto Davies claim dept well the online form was pitifully slow to fill in and they say didn't rec form delay tactics ? resubmitted and was informed home flow tests not accepted as proof despite NHS advise saying they are fast accurate and reliable as it happened my wife had to attend hospital was checked over fully and given hospital meds a photo was supplied to them dated ,named ,hospital attended I put a review on trustpilot and rec e mail from staysure who said they would escalate claim I also asked how I can supply proof of covid when even hospital didn't test my wife no reply so we had to supply a doctors note to them next e mail from them now asking for our covid vaccination details blatant delaying tactics 14 e mails has got nowhere I wish I had read some posts here before I was suckered into this policy I have 2 official complaints under review but surprise surprise that may take 10 weeks don't bother with this lot guys Reviewed on: 13th June 2023

Avoid this company they will try anything not to pay out

As always when these company’s want to sell you insurance it’s easy and clear but as soon as you need to make a claim there’s all theses terms documentation request and so much more claim ongoing for almost 6-7 weeks, claim still not settled, constant request for same documentation even though all documents that were requested have been provided made a official complaint for which I have heard nothing off, To be honest I think it’s not the best insurer to deal with and not a easy process getting a claim settled i think your best avoiding this company as they will try there very best not to pay out Reviewed on: 19th January 2023

Diabolical

This company should not be allowed to trade as they are incompetent, very easy to sign up for the insurance, as the positive reviews report, but you will not get any customer service if you log a claim. I have been waiting since the end of June. I keep on chasing and every time I get an email from Davis group telling me that I will get an answer within 15 working days...and I have been waiting for over 3 months! Fraudsters

Travel insurance claim, isolation in cypriot gov hotel after positive covid test, 8 days ruined sons wedding,no help at all , could not afford private hotel or villa as did not have the funds, wife left on her own and had to fly home on her own, I had to rebook flight home two days later, airport transfers, had to borrow the money to do this as staysure say claim when home, they said I could claim 20.00 per day for being in isolation hotel and loss of 8 days all inclusive hotel, arrived home made claim 6 weeks ago, all documents sent a dozen times, they informed me a company called DAVIES GROUP deal with the claims, they do not answer the phone, lose documents, refer your claim to management who do nothing, read reviews on trustpilot.advice do not use these companies Reviewed on: 23rd August 2022

Medical condition insurance

Because I have a medical condition the usual one size fits all travel insurance is no help to me. Because I like to visit new places & experience holidays in America or sailing the seas. I need comprehensive world wide cover. I have found with much research that Staysure is by far the best insurer in this niche market. So I have returned to then again & again. Their staff are second to none, friendly, knowledgeable & helpful . Willing to answer questions & offer useful advice to 1 elderly explorer Reviewed on: 14th August 2022
