Stepchange are amazing

Dont know how I would have coped without them over the years they have been very supportive kind and professional and helpful. I cannot thank them enough I would definitely recommed them. My son got into a lot of debt with gambling taking out credit cards thanks to stepchange he is now debt free has a detached house a great job and wedding planned and changed his life around. Excellent advice and support

StepChange gave me excellent advice and short term support, whilst applying for an IVA. It took some time and sacrifices over several years to get rid of my problem debt. But it was all worth it, and started with the brilliant help initially from StepChange and the supportive online help and useful newsletters. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Large debt

Professional, understanding, empathetic.

Professional, very understanding and empathetic about my situation, non-judgmental and excellent at listening. Really helped to reduce level of shame and stigma around financial issues and eased a lot of stress and anxiety and made things more manageable. I am closer to being debt free.

I am closer to being debt free. No more headaches and sleepless nights wondering if i could even afford to eat at times. From the very beginning, staff at StepChange were empathetic, helped me through everything, all i had to do was contact my debtors and let them know. I was working when i first started, since then i have not worked and again was worried, but they understood and we worked out a plan. I owe them my life, i have my sanity back.
