Poorly managed My debt has been poorly managed and my debt increased by 8 thousand when different companies buy the debt. Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

StepChange saved my life during the Pandemic

Who knew a Pandemic for Covid-19 would happen!? I worked in the Entertainment and Hospitality industry which completely collapsed several times, open, closed, open, closed was going on a lot in 2020 into 2021, I was not eligible for Furlough so was living on Credit Cards thinking it cant last long! How wrong I was! the debts mounted up and no employment on the horizon, finally I turned to StepChange who thankfully helped me contact the companies I was in debt to and helped me make a Debt Management Plan, I am eternally grateful to them, they saved my life I had no idea how to cope and they offered me solutions - I am still paying my debts and will never use a Credit Card again but at least I am on track to a finish date - I am now a Pensioner and dont have good prospects for money, however I am doing my best with the help of StepChange and the good will of the companies that I rose the debts with Reviewed on: 25th May 2025

Having moved back to my home town due to my elderly mother being ill and having a high paid job to minimum wage my finances took a tumble .
