Review of the Aviva, Car Insurance:

Aviva car insurance policy change

4
When switching cars, it was really easy to move my policy over to my new vehicle and the customer service assistance was polite and patient on the phone when explaining the process. The policy premium, however, did increase substantially and there was a lack of information on what factors had caused the rise - there could certainly be more transparency in that respect. Short insurence Aviva

The most miserable Aviva insurance avoid it completely, completely avoid the biggest incompetents and ordinary jerks, avoid dealing with them, they actually humiliate you when it comes to the claim. They are the biggest bastards on this earth!!! I call your Aviva insurance number and you don't even bother to answer. Markerstudy emailed you countless times, called you countless times and you don't answer. I have never met insensitive and stupid people like you in my life. God forbid we'll see you in court. Fuck you bastards and idiots. I'm going to give you a really strong review so people avoid you!!! Reviewed on: 19th October 2022

Quick to set up

I found setting up new car insurance quick to set up but the lack of any phone contact facility except for claims is something that could cause isssues for non tech savvy customers. Reviewed on: 8th October 2022

Poor service

Very poor service with no replies to emails and left without car for over 2 weeks and no help offered altough we were not at fault driver Reviewed on: 6th October 2022

Poor service, faulty repair and no help

1
Had a no fault acvident. Took over three months to get repair arranged but found the claim had timed out so had to cover a lot of the costs ourseleves as Aviva were unable to call the other insurance company to sort it out as no one was responsible and didnt seem to have any senior staff at aviva. Once the repair was made and we had paid the fees we werent expecting the repair was not legal and additionsl damage had occured so had to get the car repaired again. No courtesy car was given to us as the time put meant that the other insurance compnay had to ok it but no one could call them. We had to pay the excess and had to sort the other repair ourselves. Aviva are just useless and dont give a hoot about their customers. Even after agreeing thatvtheyvare in thw wrong still refused to pay fpr the costs incurred. They are very unprofessional and dont understand their rating and size as my experience was beyond woeful and have had to take legal action for their errors. Reviewed on: 6th October 2022

Efficient competitive big brand, good for us but maybe uncompetitive for younger drivers or people who have pad previous claims Reviewed on: 20th September 2022

Terrible stressful experience

1
Someone drove into my car, I had three witnesses and rang Aviva to be told I have to do the claim online. The following day I have an email asking for information I had already provided. They didn't send me the information for getting car repaired, I spent almost all day ringing as on hold for so long. The company they agree can fix car is not a good garage and if I use my own which is approved by other insurers I can not have a courtesy car and have to pay additional money remembering I shouldn't be paying a penny as it's the other person's insurance that will pay. To get my money back I have to use a solicitor they provide. They have not assessed damage so assume it is drivable even though I don't know if any other damage unseen. This has been the worst experience and has caused me more stress and upset than the actual incident. I should put in a legal claim for stress from Aviva not the driver who hit the car. Appalling service do not use this company they only care about money. Reviewed on: 15th September 2022

Poor service when making claim

1
We have motor insurance with Aviva. A tree branch fell on my partners car while she was driving, it landed on the bonnet and caused significant damage. We made a claim with Aviva and they advised that a third party company called Co Part would arrange collection of the car and then we would be told if the car is a write off and told the settlement figure. The collection happened within 2 days and we were advised it would then be 3 to 5 days to get the report (confirmation of write off and settlement figure), 5 days later I chased them to confirm the report would be issued that day, I was casually told it would be a few more days. The person on the phone seemed to have no concept of how urgent an issue like this is and I had to push to get the report that day. This is when the trouble really started. They provided a settlement figure of £3,500 which is £1000 below the market value of the car from examples on Autotrader. I got no report or explanantion as to how they arrived at that figure. They told me to send three examples from Autotrader which I did and they increased the valuation to £3,850 which is still far below the market value and again no evidence or explanation was provided from their side. I asked for their complaints email address which they provided but the email address was fake or incorrect as the email bounced back when I tried it. Now they are not responding to my emails and this is all delaying my money. Aviva, can you please sort this out, I have sent a formal complaint via your website where you will have all my claim details etc. Please stop using this dodgy company Co Part.
